    Preston 1-1 Brentford

I say half-time, but they're running seven or so minutes late at Deepdale, where Brentford scorer Nico Yennaris has been stretchered off.

He went down in the centre circle and left to applause from all sides after five or six minutes of treatment.

    We hope he is OK.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

Well, it was a slow burner but the first halves across the EFL burst into life in that past 20 minutes or so.

Your half time headlines across the leagues will follow shortly...

Sunderland, despite trailing, have had a good share of the first half at the Stadium of Light and Lewis Grabban has deservedly steered them level.

  4. goal

GOAL: Norwich 0-1 Derbypublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    David Nugent (45+1 mins)

The definition of smash and grab.

David Nugent shows his top-flight pedigree, getting Derby's only real opportunity of the half and curling the ball in expertly.

It was right in the corner, and Norwich will be gutted after dominating.

  5. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-1 Wolvespublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Leo Bonatini (43 mins)

Wow, what a response from Wolves! Within two minutes of going behind, Diogo Jota's pass finds Leo Bonatini and his effort finds the back of the QPR net.

We're all square again at Loftus Road.

  6. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-0 Wolvespublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Conor Washington (41 mins)

    Tight angle? No problem.

Massimo Luongo wins a challenge and it falls perfectly for Conor Washington, who is able to squeeze the ball home despite having very little to aim at.

  7. goal

GOAL: Preston 1-1 Brentfordpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Sean Maguire (41 mins)

Now that is how you create a chance and take a chance.

Sean Maguire, who's just back from a hamstring injury, coasts past several Brentford defenders and gets into a promising position.

He pauses, and shows composure to find the back of the net, and Preston level.

  8. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Norwich 0-0 Derby

Should Daniel Farke's side have a penalty?

Josh Murphy sprints into the Derby area and attempts to round Scott Carson before going over.

Did Carson get the ball? It's a close call, but Norwich appeal and get nothing for it.

  9. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

Former Hearts defender Callum Paterson is brought on for his home debut to replace the injured Joe Bennett, and almost makes an instant impact.

Junior Hoilett volleys and his cross and once again Jordan Archer is there to keep the attempt out, against the odds.

  10. Shrews tamed?published at 15:38 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    League One

Shrewsbury are the only team left in the EFL with an unbeaten league record but that proud honour is currently being tested by Peterborough...

Marcus Maddison's long-ranger beat Dean Henderson in the Shrews goal to put the Posh in front.

  11. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

Wolves are growing into this, and R's defender Alex Baptiste is left with little choice but to precariously head over his own crossbar.

With Jota stood behind him waiting for a tap-in, it was a brave and correct decision to stop the visitors from taking the lead.

  12. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

Millwall are so close to taking a surprise lead.

Steve Morison is put through on goal from a loose backpass, but opts to try and chip Cardiff goalie Neil Etheridge, who stands his ground and makes an impressive stop.

  13. goal

GOAL: Fulham 0-1 Boltonpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Sammy Ameobi (28 mins)

Fulham v BoltonImage source, Rex Features

There are beautiful goals. Then there are route one specials.

This was the latter. One ball to split the Fulham defence, and the tricky Sammy Ameobi beats Fulham's David Button. Simple. 1-0 to the Trotters. Are they headed off the bottom?

  14. Postpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

It's been an afternoon for the keepers this afternoon in many respects, and Jordan Archer is doing his bit.

Sol Bamba finds Cardiff team-mate Danny Ward, who lets fly from close range only for Archer to produce an excellent diving save.

  15. goal

GOAL: Sunderland 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Bobby Reid (28 mins)

Championship goals are like buses - you wait ages for one and then a few come along at once!

This is not a good one from Sunderland's point of view, as they allow Bobby Reid a free header at the far post and with it Bristol City lead.

  16. goal

GOAL: Preston 0-1 Brentfordpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Nico Yennaris (25 mins)

Preston keeper Chris Maxwell makes another save, but he can't keep them all out.

Florian Jozefzoon is denied but the ball falls for Nico Yennaris to head the Bees ahead.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:27 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Norwich 0-0 Derby

    We have some goalmouth action!

Josh Murphy fancies a go from distance, and unleashes a shot which is tipped away by Derby's ex-England international Scott Carson.

Don't be afraid to have a go from range, lads.

  18. Postpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

Cardiff v MillwallImage source, Rex Features

I can't lie, this hasn't been the best game so far in Wales.

Having said that, Lewis Gregory gets in a promising position before being knocked off balance by a Millwall defender, and at the other end Danny Ward forces a save from Jordan Archer as he flicks towards goal.

Goals have been few and far between across the board...

  19. Postpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Preston 0-0 Brentford

Florian Jozefzoon has two bites of the cherry for Brentford, but is thwarted by Chris Maxwell.

His first strike is blocked and when the ball comes back to his feet, it is comfortably stopped by the Preston keeper.

Ryan Woods also flicks over the bar - the visitors are turning up the temperature.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Norwich 0-0 Derby

The Canaries are knocking on the door!

Marco Stipermann gets forward from left-back and plays a one-two with Josh Murphy before sidefooting against the bar.

There's no goalline technology at Carrow Road, but it doesn't look like the ball crossed the line as it bounced down.
