It took Wolves until 11 March to register their 10th league victory last season. This time around, Willy Boly and his Wanderers team-mates managed to reach that tally by the end of October.

They will extend their lead at the top of the Championship to four points if they beat Fulham at Molineux on Friday.

It had all gone a bit quiet at Deepdale until Villa striker Keinan Davis connected with Preston defender Andrew Boyle in the air.
