  1. Two changes each for Dons and Saintspublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 30 September 2017

    Aberdeen v St Johnstone

Aberdeen are minus Greg Tansey after the midfielder underwent groin surgery that had been delayed so he could play twice last week.

Defender Andy Considine also drops out with an injured wrist, so Greg Stewart and Adam Rooney are the men coming into an attacking looking line-up.

Young central defender Scott McKenna retains his place in the Dons starting line-up.

St Johnstone are still without forward Michael O'Halloran and right-back Richard Foster is added to the injury list, while midfielder Liam Craig is demoted to the bench.

Scott Tanser and Aaron Comrie are the men drafted in by boss Tommy Wright.

Dundee welcome back Sofien Moussa following a knee injury, with his return one of four changes made by manager Neil McCann.

Captain Darren O'Dea returns to the defence following suspension, while Paul McGowan and Mark O'Hara also come into the starting line-up.

Hearts forward Kyle Lafferty starts despite opening up on his battles with gambling addiction, but the main team news from Hearts is 16-year-old midfielder Harry Cochrane making his debut for the club.

  5. Leaders host Championship favouritespublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 30 September 2017

The Championship has one of the games of the day in Scotland as leaders Dunfermline Athletic host pre-season favourites Dundee United.

Ray McKinnon's United currently lie third but only two points behind, while second-top St Mirren will hope to benefit from any slip ups from the Pars as they host bottom side Brechin City.

Veteran caretaker manager Alex Smith is in charge of Falkirk for the first time since last weekend's departure of Peter Houston as the Bairns, sitting second bottom, visit Greenock Morton.

    Motherwell v Partick Thistle

Motherwell manager Steven Robinson opts for continuity, making only one change to his starting line-up for the visit of Partick Thistle.

Craig Tanner starts in midfield, with Gael Bigirimana dropping down to the bench.

For the visitors, goalkeeper Tomas Cerny returns after injury and Milan Nitriansky replaces the injured Christie Elliott.

Chris Erskine, back from suspension, and Conor Sammon, who returns after sitting out against parent club Hearts, are named among the substitutes.

  8. Coyle back in Scottish footballpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 30 September 2017

    Kilmarnock v Ross County

Having once turned down Celtic, Owen Coyle has made his return to the Scottish top flight in the less salubrious surroundings of Victoria Park, Dingwall.

The 51-year-old, sacked by Blackburn Rovers in February, takes charge of Ross County for the first time today as his side face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

He will be hoping to continue the dominance County established over Kilmarnock under Jim McIntyre, who was dismissed on Monday after a poor run of five defeats in their last six outings.

County have won five (and lost one) of their last six league meetings.

Coyle will no doubt have told his team to keep an eye on former Scotland striker Kris Boyd, who has been directly involved in 10 goals in his last nine appearances against Ross County in the Premiership.

  10. Celtic family tiespublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 30 September 2017

    Celtic v Hibernian

Present Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has been hurling praise aplenty in the direction of visiting head coach Neil Lennon.

The Northern Irishman returns to Celtic Park as an opposing manager for the first time since leaving the Scottish champions in 2014.

And Rodgers expressed his surprise that Lennon, who had a troubled spell with Bolton Wanderers after a trophy-laden time at Celtic Park, did not win himself a job in England's top flight.

Will Lennon, also a successful Celtic player, celebrate should his team score?

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths, a former Hibs player and supporter of the Easter Road club, has already said he won't if the situation is reversed.

Hibs assistant Gary Parker, defender Efe Ambrose, midfielder Dylan McGeouch and striker Anthony Stokes face similar dilemmas on their return to their former club.

  11. Caixinha's Rangers battle onpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 30 September 2017

    FT: Hamilton Academical 1-4 Rangers

Rangers eased some of the pressure mounting on manager Pedro Caixinha with a 4-1 win over Hamilton last night to move his side up to third place, even if that might only be until before today's final whistles.

It was clinical - four goals from five goal attempts - but far from convincing, with Accies having more chances, while Rangers' Ryan Jack was shown a red card and Carlos Pena was fortunate to avoid being sent off too.

And there still appears to be problems behind the scenes after veteran striker Kenny Miller was dropped after a disagreement with his manager.

Caixinha has praised the influence of Graham Dorrans, who has taken over from Miller as captain for the last two games.

  15. A traditional welcomepublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 30 September 2017

It's a traditional three o'clock start for all five Scottish Premiership fixtures.

And it's back to his spiritual home for Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon as his side visit Celtic Park, where he had such long and successful spells as player and manager.

As is the norm these days, the hosts sit top of the table and, having gone 57 domestic games without defeat, and will be favourites to extend their winning run to five matches.

Second-top Aberdeen won't have it easy as they look to keep pace with Brendan Rodgers' side as they host a St Johnstone side who have only dropped to fourth after Rangers overtook them on goal difference with their win last night over Hamilton Academical.
