Summary

  • Top v bottom in La Liga

  • Barca remain unbeaten, Malaga without a win

  • Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

  • Unbeaten top two meet in Serie A

  1. GREAT SAVES!published at 20:15 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

Napoli should be ahead. That they are not is down to Samir Handanovic's superb double save.

His first save - to deny Jose Callejon from the edge of the box - is a good one. His second, which sees him stop Dries Mertens' follow-up, is even better, seeing him stick out a boot to block.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Barcelona 1-0 Malaga

Luis Suarez's pass is blocked by the arm of Luis Hernandez. Well maybe it was an arm/chest hybrid. The former Leicester defender is booked. Free-kick in a dangerous position...

John McEnerney: Re Deulofeu, all he knows is the FCB system - most La Masia boys are not made for playing elsewhere -one or two exceptions Cesc and Thiago

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Barcelona 1-0 Malaga

Roberto Rosales chops down Andres Iniesta. Booking.

    Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

Both teams playing nice stuff. Neither have tested a goalkeeper yet.

A nice counter from the home side ends with Lorenzo Insigne, who tries to curl a shot into the far top corner but sends it well wide. Right idea, wrong execution.

    Barcelona 1-0 Malaga

Corner to Malaga as Adalberto Penaranda, on loan from Watford, shoots from distance and it's blocked by Javier Mascherano.

Malaga are flagged offside as they get the ball back into the box following a clearance.

  7. Postpublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

Good atmosphere in Naples. The singing quickly changes to whistles, though, as Inter embark on a spell of possession in the home half. There is a little warning sign for Napoli as Inter make space for Ivan Perisic to send in a low cross that is cut out before it can reach a host of team-mates in the box.

Soon after, Inter force a corner via a deflection but the home side hold firm and head clear.

  8. Postpublished at 20:00 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Barcelona 1-0 Malaga

Diego Rolan out-muscles Sergi Roberto but Barca eventually deal with the danger.

Malaga have only had 18% of the ball.

A brilliant Barca move, involving Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, ends with Lucas Digne's cross being cut out.

    Barcelona 1-0 Malaga

Nervy moment for Malaga debutant Andres Prieto, who comes flying off his line to get a cross. Ivan Rakitic pokes the shot wide with the keeper not able to get a touch.

Wale Ibraheem: Tv review would have cleared things up there. Ball clearly out of play. That was an illegal goal.

John Logan: Still can't get my head round that Deulofeu couldn't get game for Everton but starts for Barcelona, twilight zone anyone?

    Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

Hamsik is front and centre again, this time latching on to a pass from Lorenzo Insigne to smash a shot just past the upright.

    All Napoli here.

    Barcelona 1-0 Malaga

That was actually Gerard Deulofeu's first goal for Barcelona. He's scored for Everton, Sevilla and AC Milan before.

Barca in control of the ball now against Malaga, who are short of confidence.

    Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

Marek Hamsik is one goal off equalling Diego Maradona's scoring record for the club.

The Slovakia forward, who joined 10 years ago from Brescia, has scored 114 goals in 464 games for the club.

    Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

Napoli on the front foot early on. The ball is laid off to Marek Hamsik but his touch is heavy and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick.

    Barcelona 1-0 Malaga

Malaga have a couple of immediate attacks but Diego Rolan can't get his head onto a cross. They have only scored three league goals all season.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Napoli 0-0 Inter Milan

We are under way at the Stadio San Paolo. Lots of expectation over this one, between the two outstanding sides in Italy so far this season.

Do the teams always come out to 'Go West' by the Pet Shop Boys here?

  18. goal

GOAL - Barcelona 1-0 Malagapublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Gerard Deulofeu (2 mins)

Barcelona lead. But the goal shouldn't stand. Lucas Digne crosses - but from behind the line, the ball had gone out of play. The officials didn't spot it and Gerard Deulofeu flicks home from close range to put Barca ahead.

Malaga are furious. Goalkeeper Andres Prieto hasn't even touched the ball in a La Liga game yet.

Valencia - who remain unbeaten - are only one point behind Barcelona after their impressive 4-0 win over fifth-placed Sevilla in the last few minutes.

Simone Zaza scored his eighth La Liga goal of the season in that match. Only Lionel Messi (11) has more.
