Millwall v Burton Albion (15:00 GMT)

And finally, we look ahead to this afternoon's clash at the New Den.

Home has certainly been a stronghold for the Lions of Millwall in their first season back in the Championship.

But, consistency is what has so far eluded Neil Harris' men as they look to bounce back from defeat by Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

Burton are smarting somewhat after back-to-back home defeats by Ipswich and Barnsley. Will luck be more on the Brewers side this afternoon as they try to climb out of the bottom three?

  13. Try and separate these twopublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2017

Nottingham Forest v QPR (15:00 GMT)

Only goal difference separates these two before kick-off at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest are, like Ipswich, yet to experience a draw this season in the league.

Their latest defeat of the campaign came at Reading on Tuesday in a lacklustre display.

QPR have the superior goal difference ahead of this one and will be full of confidence after they knocked Sheffield United off the division's top spot on Tuesday.

Bolton Wanderers v Norwich City (15:00 GMT)

Bolton Wanderers have the chance to extend their unbeaten run to four matches this afternoon and more crucially pull themselves off the foot of the Championship.

Norwich City are in town this afternoon who are smarting somewhat from back-to-back defeats.

SAM - the Sports Analytic Machine that claims to know how to predict these things - has put an away wn at 52%.

Phil Parkinson will hope his side can upset those odds.

Two sides perched within the vicinity of the bottom three meet at Oakwell and a win for either would do bags of good for confidence.

Barnsley edged out a determined Burton 4-2 on Tuesday courtesy of Joe Williams' stunning volley while Birmingham slumped to a ninth defeat of the campaign at home to Brentford.

Steve Cotterill knows the scale of the job on his hands now as Blues sit just two points above the bottom three.

With just eight goals scored in their 15 league games so far this season, theirs is the lowest tally of any side in the EFL.

Two sides looking for a change of fortune meet at Portman Road as Ipswich host Preston.

Inconsistency has dogged Ipswich's season so far with seven wins and seven defeats.

Victory at Burton last Saturday wasn't back-up up as Mick McCarthy's side were beaten 3-1 at Cardiff on Tuesday.

Preston come into the game on the back of three straight defeats and no win in their past five league games.

Alex Neil makes his first return to Suffolk since he took charge of East Anglian adversaries Norwich City.

Derby County are the Championship's form horses coming into this afternoon's meeting with Reading.

Gary Rowett's side have won their past four league games and are unbeaten in their past seven.

What's more, Derby like the month of November and being at home having won 10 of their past 11 home league matches in this calendar month, winning the past seven in a row while keeping six clean sheets.

Reading meanwhile will hope they can take momentum from their midweek 3-1 win against Derby's neighbours Nottingham Forest in what has so far been an indifferent campaign for Jaap Stam's side.

Things seem to be coming together at the right time for Aston Villa and Steve Bruce.

A midweek victory at Preston lifted Villa back into the top six, who have lost just once in their past 12 league games.

Sheffield Wednesday are yet to fire at the same level of the past two seasons, but a 2-1 win against Millwall at Hillsborough on Tuesday allowed Jordan Rhodes to rediscover his scoring touch.
