A few weeks ago some people were questioning whether Wolves' excellent start could last through autumn and winter... They're probably not questioning it now.

The hosts were largely untroubled throughout after taking the lead through a Barry Douglas free-kick.

Ivan Cavaleiro made it 2-0 at the break before Ezgjan Alioski pulled one back with a fine strike.

Leeds were reduced to 10 men when Ronaldo Vieira saw red for a second bookable offence and Wolves wrapped up the win with goals from Diogo Jota and a Helder Costa penalty.

Wolves are five points clear at the top of the table and in serious danger of running away from the rest of the pack.

    Wolves 4-1 Leeds

What a season this has been for table-topping Wolves so far.

They're going five points clear of third-placed Sheffield United, they've scored more than anyone else in the division and have the best goal difference.

They're just coasting through the final few minutes of this game against 10-man Leeds.

    Wolves 4-1 Leeds

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at Molineux

"After that early second-half strike from Ezgjan Alioski, it went rather nervily quiet inside Molineux for a good while - even after Wolves were given their one-man advantage.

"But those goals from Jota and Helder Costa's penalty have restored the South Bank to full voice. And the Joy Division inspired chant of 'Leeds have fallen apart again' proved so popular it got taken up by the North Bank too!

"It's now a mostly very happy crowd of 28,914."

  15. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Birmingham

While the goals have been flying in since half-time the West Midlands and Suffolk, it's remained 2-0 in the north east.

Patrick Bamford has come closest to changing that situation, but flashed a shot narrowly wide for the hosts.

This could get ugly for Leeds now.

Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan made a good save from Diogo Jota but couldn't hold onto the shot and ended up upending Leo Bonatini in the area.

Sub Helder Costa confidently scores from the penalty.

Wolves are going four points clear at the top.
