    Ipswich 0-0 Sheff Wed

Ipswich have started really, really well here, as David McGoldrick - back on the pitch after receiving a bit of treatment - breaks into the area before shooting over.

Should he have looked for another blue shirt in support? Quite possibly.

    Ipswich 0-0 Sheff Wed

We're only three minutes in at Portman Road, but have Sheffield Wednesday escaped an early red card here?

Glenn Loovens catches David McGoldrick thigh-high with his studs on the halfway line, but the referee decides a warning will do having played an advantage.

    It's an ugly old challenge.

    Wolves 0-0 Leeds

Good start from the visitors and full-back Luke Ayling makes a strong run into the Wolves area but his cross is charged down and home goalkeeper John Ruddy gathers.

Grimsby Town forward Siriki Dembele is enjoying a great start to his professional career.

The 21-year-old, who scored in the Mariners 3-2 win over Swindon on Tuesday, won the EFL's Young Player of the Month Award for his strong October showing.

He told BBC Sport about his time in the Nike Academy, adjusting to life in League Two and his talented brothers.

Wigan midfielder Ryan Colclough speaks to BBC Radio Manchester after a unique hat-trick.

It was quite a day for Wigan's Ryan Colclough on Tuesday.

It's not often a player on two goals is subbed off with half an hour to go but it's fair to say the Latics man had other things on his mind during last night's 3-0 win over Doncaster.

The former Crewe man found out at half-time that his partner had gone into labour with their second child and after scoring his second goal he was taken off and headed straight to the hospital.

"He was born 30 minutes later so I got there just in the nick of time," he told BBC Radio Manchester.

So here's how the Championship's top six is looking after last night's shenanigans.

"How many goals have I scored, you ask?"

There were nine Championship matches on Tuesday and there's no doubting which one took top billing.

Sheffield United would have gone back to the top of the table with victory over Fulham but found themselves 3-2 down at half-time.

Remarkably the London side went on to win 5-4, with 17-year-old Ryan Sessegnon claiming a first career hat-trick, leaving Leon Clarke's own treble for the Blades to count for nought.

Elsewhere, Chris Coleman's first game in charge of bottom side Sunderland ended in a narrow 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa and Cardiff moved up to second with a 1-0 win at Barnsley.

  13. Wolves about to blow away competition?published at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

    MolineuxImage source, Rex Features

Table-topping Wolves will stretch their lead at the top of the table to four points with victory over Leeds tonight.

A fourth successive victory for Nuno Espirito Santo's men will also give them a five-point cushion from third-placed Sheffield United.

Could this be the night they begin to pull away from the competition?

As well as events at the Molineux, we'll also be keeping you up to date with Middlesbrough's home game against Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday's trip to Ipswich.

Good evening and welcome to live text coverage of Wednesday night's EFL action.
