    Gabby: Re Benteke: ........

Paul: Benteke’s goals probably saved us last season but he has generally been poor by his high standards this year. He bears the burden of being our only fit striker though and doesn’t deserve being made a scapegoat.

Jake: I must say Benteke was been dreadful. The turning point for me was the penalty, why have him when he is not playing for the shirt, but for himself?

    Differing opinions on Benteke then...

Kevin De Bruyne's been a bit out-of-sorts with the ball, and his set-pieces haven't been much better. That ones just crashed into the wall, and fair play to Christian Benteke for letting it hit him.

Not in the spirit or fair to query?

As good as City are - you need some luck to keep winning. I think their luck is running out today.

Crystal Palace had a lot more ideas and energy in the first half, but so far Christian Benteke has been really isolated in this second half, Man City are starting to get a grip on this game.
