Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo has been linked with the Everton managerial vacancy having guided his side to the top of the Championship and been the only team to stop Manchester City from scoring this term, losing to the Premier League leaders on penalties in the League Cup last month.

Asked about replacing Ronald Koeman at Goodison, Santo says: "When you sign a contract, you must respect that contract... it's a project that requires commitment..."

Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino confirms that powerful Gabon international midfielder Mario Lemina, the club's record signing from Juventus, will again be missing for this weekend's match against Burnley.

The 24-year-old was forced out of the 1-1 draw with Brighton last weekend with an ankle injury sustained in training.

West Ham United

West Ham had to settle for a point last week against Crystal Palace, who scored a 97th minute equaliser to make it 2-2.

"Our fans are very educated," said Bilic, whose side are a point above the drop zone.

"They know what other teams are doing, how they are playing home or away. It doesn't mean you don't want to win the game. We have to be cautious and the fans will need to be patient as well."

On Liverpool, Bilic said: "They are not very happy with their position. They are a very good team who play offensive football, which can leave them a little open at the back.

"We've analysed them and it's not only Spurs that have exploited that. We have to be very solid when we play them. They have that pace and quality up front and on the flanks. If you have a good transition and players in the right positions you can hurt them.

"Andy Carroll is definitely one of our players who can hurt them."

MC Ell: Winks definitely deserves this England call up, looks a seasoned regular for Spurs. Also think Young deserves a recall.

Dominic Hanley: Refreshing to hear Southgate's reasoning for not including Wilshere. Not playing club level, you don't play international.

West Ham United

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has a few injury problems for the Liverpool game on Saturday.

"Pablo Zabaleta is suspended. Jose Fonte as well," he said.

"Michail Antonio and Sam Byram won't make it either. Sam will be out for four or five weeks and Michail should be fit after the international break.

"Injuries are a part of football. One week ago we were talking about having a full squad. Before Palace I had a big headache because some of the guys that played Spurs were really good. Everybody apart from James Collin and then Winston Reid were fit.

"Then this week we've had a few. It doesn't look great in that area of the team now."

News from Brighton boss Chris Hughton now and the former FA Cup-winning Spurs defender confirms that it is only Steve Sidwell missing for the trip to Swansea this weekend.

Hughton adds that striker Sam Baldock, who has yet to appear for the first-team this season because of a calf injury, could return to the squad if he does not take part in Friday's U23 match.

Slaven Bilic has spent the best part of a year having to periodically address questions about his future.

Today was no different. He was asked to confirm that there have been no conversations with the owners about his future. Again. And he obliged.

This constant speculation, that seems to crop up at West Ham every few months, must leave some sort of psychological mark but Bilic is able to summon the strength to deal with it all pretty directly, without looking as though his patience is about to snap.

After the poor night against Brighton, he can reflect on better performances and results against Spurs and Crystal Palace, despite the last minute equaliser, and is aware that Liverpool can be vulnerable to counter attack.

A cautious approach on Saturday evening at home may well be the correct one but given the febrile atmosphere surrounding the team at the moment, he’ll have to strike the right balance and make sure he gives the supporters enough to get behind.

Kris Jefferson: Decent England squad, only person I can think who is missing is Shelvey, could be the playmaker England desperately need.

Patrick McCafferty: Had better squads on paper in the past but they've underperform! All for giving the young lads a go, all playing regularly too.

Jenny Watts: Has Southgate ever watched Brighton? If he had, he'd have see 1 of the best defenders around. How can he not pick Lewis Dunk?

Leicester boss Claude Puel has also commented on Demarai Gray's new four-year deal, which was announced earlier.

“It’s good news, of course. He can make the difference. We will see if he can continue to perform.”

Leicester City

Claude Puel has gone all philosophical in his pre-match news conference.

“It’s an evolution, not revolution," said the Leicester manager about turning around the club's fortunes.

"We cannot change everything in a few days. It’s important to continue our work.

“Stoke had a good result at Watford. They are confident but so are we. We need to keep our ambition the same.”

Gareth Southgate has commented on the opposition ahead.

"They are slightly different tests, Germany are a well-oiled machine with clear patterns of play and are always fascinating to play against," said the England manager.

"Brazil are a bit different, physically strong, they don't move the ball quite as fluently through the team as Germany but they have incredibly talented individuals.

"They are very different tests but really exciting tests. Qualifying games are hard to capture the imagination of the public, but these are games everyone gets excited about and we're looking forward to Wembley being full and testing ourselves."

England fans should not have to resort to making paper planes on 14 November as the ever intriguing Brazil provide the opposition in the second of the two high-profile friendlies this month.

The teams first met in 1956 and England have only won four times, the last of which was in 2013 when goals from Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard helped them to a 2-1 victory at Wembley.

They have not met in the World Cup since 2002 when Ronaldinho's long-range shot went over David Seaman's pony tail (pictured) took Brazil through 2-1.

Since England were thrashed 4-1 at the 2010 World Cup - when it could have been 2-2 of course had Frank Lampard's shot that crossed the line been given - they have met Germany on three occasions.

Tottenham's Eric Dier scored an injury time winner as Roy Hodgson's side came from two goals down to win 3-2 in March 2016, but either side of that match there were 1-0 defeats, the most recent of which came for Gareth Southgate's team in March, courtesy of a spectacular second half goal from Lukas Podolski in Dortmund.

"He looks to play forward when he can, he has a good range of passing, is able to receive and change the direction of play, but it has been his composure which has really stood out.

"The squad generally has got lots of players and it's nice that while the spotlight is on one player one week there are lots of good stories coming through."
