  1. That's all folks!published at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

Well, that's it from a day when things went pretty much according to the formbook in the Irish Premiership.

Wins for the leading five clubs mean it's 'as you were' at the top end of the table as Coleraine maintain their six-point advantage over Crusaders and Glenavon, who both have a game in hand.

Cliftonville and Linfield are still well in the hunt as well, while the bottom four look like they are being cut adrift as the battle to avoid relegation and a play-off spot hots up.

Ballymena are looming large in the rear view mirror of Glentoran as they aim to move into the top six.

    Ballymena Utd 2-1 Ballinamallard Utd

    Quote Message

The last 10 minutes was tense and nervy but Ballymena United never do things in an easy way. Ballinamallard are fighting for their lives but some of our football was excellent. I'm annoyed that we didn't finish the game off as we squandered four or five very good chances but at the end of the day it's a win, three points, and we move on.

    David Jeffrey, Ballymena United manager

    Warrenpoint Town 1-3 Cliftonville

    Quote Message

We were playing a good team but I thought in the first half we more than matched them. We can't defend the way we defended and we can't keep gifting sides two or three goals every week. I can't take positives from a defeat. I'm sick of losing.

    Matthew Tipton, Warrenpoint Town manager

    Crusaders 1-0 Glentoran

    Quote Message

We had the better of the first half but we couldn't convert our chances. If we had gone in three or four to the good at half-time I don't think anyone could have had any complaints. The boys kept fighting and scrapping but our performance was improved this week.

    Gary Haveron, Glentoran manager

    Crusaders 1-0 Glentoran

    Quote Message

Every victory is important and we had to fight for the three points today in a feisty contest. Glentoran came with a view to fight us last week - there was always going to be a backlash from their defeat last week - and they did fight us first half, but after half-time we won the key battles and got the important goal.

    Stephen Baxter, Crusaders manager

    Warrenpoint Town 1-3 Cliftonville

    Quote Message

It was a bit strange to be back at Warrenpoint as an opposition manager for the first time and see so many friendly faces, but we had to be professional and focus on the game. I'm delighted to get all three points. We allowed them far too much time on the ball in the first half, but our second-half performance was impressive and we got the job done.

    Barry Gray, Cliftonville manager

    Carrick Rangers 1-3 Coleraine

    Quote Message

I'm very disappointed but not despondent as I thought we were in the game for long periods today. If we bring the same attitude and endeavour every week, then we won't be far away but we have to turn those efforts into points.

    David McAlinden, Carrick Rangers boss

    Carriack Rangers 1-3 Coleraine

    Quote Message

We knew how tough it was going to be but we weathered the early storm and picked up three points. Brad Lyons was immense - he's such a big player for us - he's been pivotal for us all season and it's great to have him back.

    Oran Kearney, Coleraine manager

  10. What they saidpublished at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Linfield 1-0 Dungannon Swifts

    Quote Message

It wasn't our best performance today but we dug deep in the second half and got the goal. We were sloppy in picking the right pass and the right finish at times today but you never know, come the end of the season this could be a big three points for us.

    David Healy, Linfield manager

  11. What they saidpublished at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Linfield 1-0 Dungannon Swifts

    Quote Message

Linfield probably edged the first half but we kept ourselves in the game. I thought we improved in the second half and gave ourselves an opportunity to get something out of it. Roy Carroll made a couple of great saves - he's a big player for them, but I'm happy with the application of our players. We dug in and gave it everything.

    Rodney McAree, Dungannon Swifts manager

    Ards 0-2 Glenavon

    Quote Message

It was a good win for us today. It was a test of character for our players and we showed it in abundance. I thought we dominated the game from start to finish. For me, Andrew Doyle's second yellow card was never a yellow card and we have been on the end of some very average refereeing performances in the past few weeks. The boys were fired up because they knew they weren't going to get any help from the officials - they won through their own hard work.

    Gary Hamilton, Glenavon manager

  13. What they saidpublished at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

    Ards 0-2 Glenavon

    Quote Message

I'm really disappointed. When we came in 0-0 at half-time and a man to the good we should have kicked on and won the game. I thought we played better when they had 11 men but we stopped doing the things we were doing well. This is a chance passed up. We worked hard but a lack of quality in the final third let us down again.

    Colin Nixon, Ards manager

    Warrenpoint Town 1-3 Cliftonville

A 93rd minute goal from Jay Donnelly put the gloss on a win for the Reds.

It was a happy return to Milltown for former Warrenpoint boss Barry Gray as his Cliftonville side made it six consecutive victories.

Joe Gormley had given the Reds an early lead which was cancelled out by Sean Mackle's equaliser. Rory Donnelly made it 2-1 on the half hour before his brother's injury-time strike sealed the win.

The Mallards didn't 'duck' the challenge but fell short again and are still four points adrift at the foot of the table.

    Ards 0-2 Glenavon

Three hard-earned points for Glenavon against the team with the worst home record in the Premiership.

Sub Adam Foley and Mark Sykes with the late goals.

Red cards for Glenavon's Andrew Doyle and Johnny Taylor of Ards.

Glenavon manager Gary Hamilton ordered off for comments made from the dug-out.

    Crusaders 1-0 Glentroan

Second-placed Crusaders bag the three points at Seaview thanks to Jordan Forsythe's goal early in the second half.

Stephen Baxter's men had to play the last 15 minutes or so with 10 men after Howard Beverland's dismissal, and the Crues were furious referee Stephen Gregg did not send off Glentoran's Kym Nelson in a later incident.

The tempers are at bit frayed at the end, and it all gets a bit silly with some needless pushing a shoving after the final whistle.
