    This game has really changed.

Bristol City bossed the first half but that cracking goal from Kieran Dowell has revitalised Forest

They might not have created too many chances since, but neither have City.

  3. League Two latestpublished at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

They might have 10 men, but Luton Town have gone 2-0 up at struggling Forest green thanks to Danny Hylton.

His goal came eight minutes after Jack Stacey got a straight red card after a high foot.

The hatters will be two points clear tonight unless Notts County can break down Grimsby - it is still 0-0 thgere.

Exeter City are still up to third place and are now 2-0 up at home to Stevenage thanks to Pierce Sweeney's effort.

Wycombe are up to fourth place as it stands after Luke O'Nien's strike put the 1-0 up over Chesterfield.

Oh my word - this is fairytale stuff!

Sunderland have not won at home for the whole of 2017 but, five minutes after being brought on for his senior debut, Josh Maja scores.

I Googled the 18-year-old as he came on, and now he's a hero - what a story this would be if the Black Cats hold on.

    Birmingham 1-1 QPR

Will there be a winner at St Andrew's?

Idrissa Sylla has been thrown on by the R's and almost scores with his first touch - a beast of a header from Jake Bidwell's cross - but it flies just wide.

  6. Postpublished at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Derby 1-0 Aston Villa

Safe to say Derby look more likely to double their lead than Villa look like levelling.

This time Bradley Johnson threatens, meeting a corner with a header which takes a fantastic save from Sam Johnstone to keep out.

The visitors have Scott Hogan on, but will he get the service? There's 17 minutes left.

  7. League One latestpublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

The top two at the start of the day have both scored to go 1-0 ahead in their respective games.

Leaders Wigan are in front at AFC Wimbledon thanks to Michael Jacobs' goal, while Jon Nolan has put Shrewsbury ahead at home to Blackpool.

Blackburn are back in third, but still lead 1-0 at home to Charlton.

At the bottom Doncaster might be pulling away from the drop zone after Andy Butler put them ahead at home to Oldham while Bury look like they will be bottom tonight - they trail at Portsmouth after Matthew Clarke's goal.

    Bolton 0-1 Burton

What a difference a moment can make.

The David Wheater header that hit the underside of the bar and was somehow cleared by Burton could count for a lot come full time.

Bolton started the day out of the Championship relegation zone but are bottom as it stands, while Burton look set to rise two places.

A long way to go yet, though.

    Sunderland 0-0 Fulham

Just under 25 minutes to go and Sunderland bring on midfielder Didier Ndong.

Name doesn't ring a bell? Hardly surprising, but believe it or not the Gabon international cost the Black Cats £13.6m in August 2016.

Can he help them get a winner against Fulham here?

    Stewart Downing (67 mins)

Former England winger Stewart Downing blasts Middlesbrough back into the game with a long range effort.

Jordan Archer got a hand to the effort but failed to keep it out.

  11. Postpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Derby 1-0 Aston Villa

Craig Forsyth almost gets very lucky with a cross for Derby.

It's a deep one that loops precariously towards Sam Johnstone's goal, but the Villa keeper backtracks to push it over the bar.

The game of the day is starting to live up to its billing.

As it stands Luton are two points clear at the top - they lead 1-0 at Forest Green, while Notts County are being held 0-0 at home by Grimsby.

Exeter City are up to third after Lloyd James gave them a 53rd minute lead at home to Stevenage.

Barnet are off the bottom by virtue of their 2-0 lead over Morecambe and Forest Green's losing situation.

Port Vale are moving further away from the drop zone - Tyrone Barnett's goal has given them the lead at Carlisle while Lincoln are now 2-0 up at home to 10-man Accrington after Matt Rhead's goal.

Sheffield United arrived at Preston without a win in four. Is that about to become five?

Jordan Hugill volleys in a left-wing cross to put Alex Neil's side in front and North End could be back within two points of the play-off places this evening.

  14. League One latestpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

Gillingham have gone bananas at home to Bristol Rovers - they are 4-0 up after two goals in six minutes.

Josh Parker got the third two minutes after the restart before Mark Byrne got his second of the day to make the game safe.

Leaders Wigan are still being held 0-0 in their first ever visit to AFC Wimbledon, while Blackburn are currently up into second place by virtue of their 1-0 lead over Charlton while Shrewsbury are being held at home by Blackpool.

Northampton are currently out of the bottom four as they are 2-1 up at home to Walsall - none of the current bottom four (Bury, Plymouth, AFC Wimbledon and Rochdale) have scored yet.

Sometimes you need a bit of luck to score when you're not playing well, and Alex Smithies has given Birmingham an early Christmas present.

The QPR stopper should do better but can only parry Maikel Kieftenbeld's shot and Sam Gallagher is like a predator - first on the scene to gobble the rebound.

  17. Postpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Sunderland 0-0 Fulham

The hosts may have been on top overall but they know very well how it feels to be sucker-punched at the Stadium of Light.

Fulham almost do exactly that - Robbin Ruiter called into action to tip Rui Fonte's shot wide from 20 yards.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Bolton 0-1 Burton

Burton have opted for a rearguard action since going ahead and almost pay the price.

David Wheater's header hits the underside of the bar and then Stephen Bywater is on hand to make a superb save from Bolton's follow-up.

    Leeds United 1-0 Norwich City

Felix Wiedwald has made a fantastic save to deny Norwich's Alex Pritchard from close range.

One the rebound Harrison Reed had a chance to strike at goal, but blazed it over the bar.

Norwich have scored in each of their last three games - can they get back into this?

  20. CLOSE!published at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

Robert Snodgrass lines up a shot but Richard Keogh is on hand to clear off the line.
