    David Milinkovic

The day just gets better and better for Hearts. Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic makes a terrible mess of dealing with a hopeful long ball and David Milinkovic is presented with the ball on the edge of the box, He is cool as a deep-frozen cucumber as he rounds Craig Gordon and then rolls a shot past the covering Mikael Lustig.

    HT: Hearts 2-0 Celtic

By way of contrast, Hearts have been fantastic, playing with incredible energy and gusto. Don Cowie has been outstanding in the middle of the park and Michael Smith is doing a grand job as a makeshift central defender. Craig Levein has them playing narrow and that has isolated the threat of Celtic's wide men, with Scott Sinclair barely getting a touch.

Celtic are looking down the barrel of a first domestic defeat since May 2016.

The visitors have been outfought in midfield and have been all over the place at the back, while Leigh Griffiths has not been at the races up front.

  9. HALF-TIME Hearts 2-0 Celticpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2017

  10. 'Stupid' foul from Laffertypublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2017

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

"I thought it was a little bit stupid from Lafferty - he forgot about the ball completely, let it run over the touchline and put his hand into Tierney's face. That's him booked now - that goes down as a very, very stupid mistake to make."

    Hearts 2-0 Celtic

A booking for Kyle Lafferty as he puts a straight arm into the chest of Kieran Tierney when shielding the ball out for what was going to be a Hearts throw-in deep in Celtic territory. Daft...

  12. 'Two great finishes'published at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2017

    Hearts 2-0 Celtic

    Quote Message

Hearts have taken their chances. Two fantastic finishes - Cochrane's left-foot strike was magnificent, and Lafferty has to shoot, has to hit the target, and it's great finishing. Fantastic play from Hearts.

    Hearts 2-0 Celtic

With the interval approaching, Celtic step up their intensity - or have Hearts dropped off just a shade? James Forrest skips past two opponents and threads in another dangerous ball. Leigh Griffiths has a wild swing at it and gets next to no purchase on the shot, which is blocked by Michael Smith.

  14. 'Collum never saw a foul there'published at 13:10 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2017

    Hearts 2-0 Celtic

    Quote Message

Willie Collum was not watching the play - he assumed what happened there. Griffiths might have caught Smith, the crowd went mad, and all of a sudden Willie Collum, who is facing the ball and never saw a foul there, shows yellow.

    Kyle Lafferty

It's another beauty... David Milinkovic breaks and finds Kyle Lafferty wide open on the right. The big striker still has a lot of work to do and does it in style, lashing a low, angled shot in off the base of the post from 20 yards.

  18. 'Hearts' work-rate superior'published at 13:03 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2017

    Hearts 1-0 Celtic

    Quote Message

"I think Hearts' work-rate is better than Celtic's. They're not giving Ntcham, Brown, Boyata, Tierney - any of the Celtic players who try to pass out - any time on the ball. They are compact and they are pressing really high up the pitch."

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 29 mins

    Hearts 1-0 Celtic

Celtic just can't handle Hearts' furious tempo. David Milinkovic is on to a ball over the top and his shot draws a good stop from Craig Gordon, who did well to advance and narrow the angle.

  20. goal

    Harry Cochrane

What a moment for the 16-year-old!

Don Cowie profits from some sloppy play from Dedryck Boyata as Hearts continue to press with great urgency and then works the ball to Harry Cochrane on the edge of the penalty box. The teenager takes a touch and hammers a low left-foot shot into the corner. A fantastic strike.
