Leeds against Millwall is a fixture that always seems to have an extra bite to it.

But this time it comes with extra incentive. Today, Thomas Christiansen's men could move back in to the top six if they can better Sheffield United's result.

But visitors Millwall have proven many times already this season that they're no pushovers.

Wolves v Nottingham Forest (15:00 GMT)

After Derby could only draw last night, leaders Wolves have the chance to extend their advantage at the top to a mighty 12 points this afternoon.

The visitors at Molineux are Aitor Karanka's Nottingham Forest.

It'll take some performance from the Reds to halt Wolves' march towards the Premier League - the Black Country club remain on course to exceed 100 points, and some.

  5. The chasing packpublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2018

    Leeds v Millwall; Fulham v Burton; Preston v B'ham (15:00 GMT)

Just below the play-off places at the moment are Leeds, Fulham, Middlesborough and Preston. They're all within two points of the top six.

Three of them have winnable-looking home games on paper this afternoon, while Boro are away to QPR in arguably the toughest match for any of the chasing quartet.

Brentford, in 11th, and 12th-placed Ipswich aren't far behind either. It's very tight in the top half this season.

Here's a reminder of how last night's 0-0 draw between Derby and Bristol City affected the top six.

Cardiff, Aston Villa and Sheffield United will all be looking to gain on their promotion rivals today.

And Wolves are aiming to extend their lead at the top to 12 points when they host Forest.

  8. A relegation six-pointer?published at 14:19 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2018

    Sunderland v Hull (15:00 GMT)

    Lee CattermoleImage source, Get

The pressure is well and truly on at the Stadium of Light. Bottom-club Sunderland desperately want a rare home win.

Today they face a Hull team who are just three points above them in the table, precariously only one point above the drop zone.

Could one - or more of these former Premier League sides - be facing a second successive relegation?

    Derby 0-0 Bristol City

Unfortunately, we are still waiting for our first Championship goal of the weekend after Friday evening's action at Pride Park ended goalless.

Second-placed Derby took on fellow promotion hopefuls Bristol City, but neither side could find a way through in a tight affair.

The Rams had the better of the chances on the night, but Aden Flint's goal-line clearance from Curtis Davies' header was enough to deny Gary Rowett's men another three points.

We're once again a fixture short in League Two, as Newport climbed to fifth on Friday night with a 2-1 victory over Harry Kewell's Crawley.

But even with a mere 11 games to enjoy, there's still plenty of intrigue on offer, with second-placed Notts County's meeting with sixth-placed Exeter the pick of the bunch.

We'll also be keeping an eye on proceedings at Barnet as new Bees boss Graham Westley takes on Danny Cowley's promotion-chasing Lincoln City.
