Here's how the Championship's top six looks after round 28.

Wolves' lead at the top has been cut to a only 11 points, while it all looks very tight between the teams below them. Second place is still anyone's, I reckon.

    • Fulham keep up the pace on the top six with a stunning 6-0 win at home to Burton, while Sheffield United secure an impressive victory at Norwich.

  5. 'We were better in the second half'published at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2018

    FT: Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

    Quote Message

We were better in the second half, we were unlucky we didn't score. We need to keep working and the goals will come.

  6. 'We could've nicked it'published at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2018

    FT: Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

    Quote Message

Both teams had chances, although if we look at the chances we had at the end of the first half and in the second half we could've nicked it. That's three clean sheets in a row now and it's a solid foundation going forward.

Don't move a muscle because we've got some Sheffield Wednesday reaction coming next...

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 19:22 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2018

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

There are no more chances of note and both sides will have to settle for a point.

Cardiff were much the better side in the first half, but Sheffield Wednesday will go home disappointed at not taking one of a host of glaring opportunities.

That's two goalless draws in succession to start Jos Luhukay's career as Owls boss.

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

There will be three minutes of added time.

Liam Palmer wins Sheffiled Wednesday a corner, but Cardiff aren't troubled by George Boyd's ambitious shot on the turn.

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

If anybody's winning this game, it looks like it's going to be the hosts.

Sheffield Wednesday are pressing forward, sadly without much of a cutting edge.

There's still a fair bit of creativity in this Owls side and no lack of graft, but with injuries and Jordan Rhodes not enjoying the best of seasons, they really do look a goalscorer short of a quality Championship outfit.

  11. Postpublished at 85 mins

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

There were 31 goals in the 15:00 fixtures today.

It's not like we've been short-changed for goals across the day's games, but it would have been nice for just one more in this one.

There's only five minutes left for either side to snatch a winner.

  12. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

Lucas Joao's evening will end a little early, as he is replaced by Atdhe Nuhiu.

Ross Wallace is also off for the hosts, George Boyd coming on in his place.

Joao has worked hard and created plenty of chances, but his finishing has let him down tonight.

  13. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

A second Cardiff City change, this one a straight swap in midfield.

Liverpool loanee Marko Grujic is off and Callum Patterson is on to try to make a decisive contribution in the final 10 minutes or so.

  14. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

Marco Matias almost makes an immediate impact.

Lucas Joao threads a delicate ball in behind the Cardiff defence, but Neil Etheridge races out to claim the ball just in time to prevent Matias from latching on.

  15. Win 6-0, look for a new striker?published at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2018

    FT: Fulham 6-0 Burton

Fulham continued to pile the pressure on the Championship's top six with a thumping 6-0 home win over lowly Burton.

They've been going great guns recently, have the Cottagers, so surely they'll be happy with the players they've already got?...

Turns out I was wrong, as here is a Sheffield Wednesday change.

Marco Matias is on for Jordan Rhodes, who has set up a few chances for strike partner Lucas Joao but hasn't looked like scoring himself.

    Time for a Cardiff change.

Yanic Wildschut's first start in a Cardiff shirt doesn't see him play the full 90 minutes, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing coming on for the final stages.

Still no sign of a Sheffield Wednesday change.

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

Just half a chance for Joe Ralls.

The Cardiff midfielder attempts a shot from a very tight angle, but he was never likely to beat Joe Wildsmith from there.

  19. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff

Cardiff need to keep hold of the ball for a while and settle down.

They've been the better side for much of this game, but they look very leaky once they're put under a bit of pressure.

Yanic Wildschut tries to shift the momentum back in his side's favour but his shot zips narrowly wide of goal.

  20. Millwall 'making teams take note'published at 18:54 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2018

    FT: Leeds 3-4 Millwall

    Media caption,

The Lions came out on top in the 4-3 thriller at Elland Road.

Millwall boss Neil Harris has been speaking to BBC Radio London after his side's dramatic 4-3 win at 10-man Leeds:

"If we'd have come in at 6-0 at half-time, it'd have been no disgrace. I told the boys not to step off.

"We showed a real lack of quality at the start of the second half for 15 minutes.

"But we showed massive confidence, after that, in front of this crowd, to score two goals late on. We believed.

"So far this season, we are making teams make note."
