Carlos Carvalhal says he prioritised the transfer deadline day signings of Andre Ayew and Andy King because of their desire to play for Swansea City.
"If I bring players with quality who don't want to be here it will not help us, these players will," he explained.
"They are the players who really wanted to come here, who really want to come and play for Swansea."

Leicester made no big signings during the January transfer window but Swansea paid £18m to bring back Andre Ayew - who hasn't made the squad today through injury.
The Swans have also taken Leicester's Andy King on loan for the rest of the season.

"It was always unlikely that Riyad Mahrez would feature, but we've heard his name enough this week so let's focus on those who want to and will play a part.
"Claude Puel has led Leicester from 18th to eighth, and Carlos Carvalhal has started impressively at Swansea. Both appointments raised eyebrows, but the clubs' decision makers - at this stage at least - deserve credit.
"Swansea chiefs dipped into their credit to fund the re-signing of Andre Ayew on Wednesday.
"He last played in the same club side as brother Jordan for Marseille in November 2013. Now the 'Sons of Pele' follow in the illustrious footsteps of Ivor and Len Allchurch and Cliff and Bryn Jones as brothers in the same Swansea team."

Leicester forward Riyad Mahrez has missed training for the last week, after a potential deadline-day move to Manchester City fell through.
He handed in a transfer request and has made it clear he no longer wishes to stay at the club so where do both parties go from here?
Mahrez hasn't been considered for today's match against Swansea and he also missed the defeat at Everton.

Demarai Gray and Shinji Okazaki are both left on the bench.
