    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

It's not for everyone, the old 'tactical battle.'

Whenever a game of football is compared to chess you know it's not been a classic.

here come the sides though for the second half, Son in animated mood to his team-mates in the tunnel.

Harry: Spurs outplayed United and Liverpool in the same week and people are upset Arsenal didn't play a team of only strikers. Laughable.

Jay: Am I the only one enjoying this tactical battle? Eager to see which of these two managers (if any) will first take a risk and go for it

No goals, just the one chance and not so much as a late tackle to enjoy in that first half then.

A reminder that we have four games kicking off at 15:00 today, and we will have team news for those games in 35 minutes' time.

Abdulai: The North London Derby? What Derby? No tackles, nothing to excite the crowd. Dead beat

JS: I can't remember a time, if ever, that Wenger parked the bus. Sad to see for the game.

  5. 'Arsenal tactically interesting'published at 13:23 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2018

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham manager on BBC Radio 5 live

It's close, Arsenal tactically are interesting, not pressing very high, conceding possession to Spurs in the deep areas.

When Tottenham do get further forward they've been forced to go wide.

They've the better footballing side, but Arsenal are still dangerous, especially through the middle.

Brian Mangeni: I told my Arsenal supporting friends last week that their team’s performance was one where all new signings were eager to impress the manager. Now we can see the real deal. Snooze fest at Wembley.

Shed End: Rubbish match, rubbish atmosphere. I thought this was meant to be a rip-roaring derby, not a yawn fest. zzzzzz.

  8. 'Holding midfielders doing their jobs'published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2018

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at Wembley

Who would have thought with the attacking players on show that the defenders would come out on top? The holding midfielders, from both sides, have done their jobs pretty well so far and that's why we've got a stalemate.

Jamu: Arsenal looks like they are more interested at handing Petr Cech his 200th clean sheet today than bagging all the three points

Dave: Arsenal are too open at the back’ is what we hear regularly. So now they’re playing more defensively away from home they’re ‘parking the bus’. I was going to say ‘you couldn’t make it up’ but somehow, people are.

Will Nicholls: I can see why United fans were so infuriated by Mkhitaryan. Utterly brilliant last week, but so far today he has been shocking. I hope for his sake he finds a bit more consistency, he’s a brilliant player when he’s at his best.

Gee Em: I remember when watching a North London derby was exciting... Snooze fest!

  12. Wanyama introduction imminent?published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2018

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at Wembley

Looking at the benches, Spurs have got a few ballers on theirs, with Lucas Moura. But I feel Mauricio Pochettino might look to Victor Wanyama in the second half, to try and help his side take a real strangle hold of this game.

  13. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

i don't think it was ever Iwobi or Elneny, Arsene Wenger has gone for an extra central midfield player to stymie the play of Spurs. You could argue that it's worked as the game has been almost entirely devoid of any attacking at all bar the opening few minutes.

Eric: People question Iwobi’s place in the XI. But I’m not sure what Elneny offers. Not great positionally, average at tackling, average pace, average strength, can only play the ball sideways. Xhaka and Elneny partnership is so ordinary.

That's rather a waste. Arsenal sweep forwards in numbers, Henrikh Mkhitaryan this time plays a very good ball indeed from left to right to play Mesut Ozil into space. He should have driven on into the box but instead he checks on to his left foot and floats a cross which goes nowhere.

Moments later they again play it out to the right and Hector Bellerin shoots over the top. Better from Arsenal.

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

In a game of so few chances maybe a set-piece will provide the breakthrough. Spurs have the free-kick in a good area but Christian Eriksen's ball in is well cleared by a stretching Shkodran Mustafi.

Ash Williams: I’ve never seen Wenger go to Spurs and park the bus like today. He’ll ruin Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan. He’s already done it with Lacazette in less than a season.

Tim Ferwood: It has gotten to the point where I would actually prefer Sissoko on the pitch than Dier!

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

    Bradley Allen
Ex-QPR striker on BBC Radio London at Wembley

What we've seen in this match is both sets of players are keeping their shape better now, the spaces are getting filled up, so it's more difficult for the players to find their team-mates.

Hencock: What’s wrong with Mkhitaryan? He must improve otherwise we have no chance.

Stephen: Can we all agree on an official abbreviation or nickname for Henrikh Myk ... Mika ... Mylka ... That guy ...because i just can't spell it.

    What was that?!

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who looked like Pele on his full debut last weekend, shanks a first-time cross so badly out of play that it goes for a throw.

    Rubbish.
