No shots on goal in the opening 10 minutes, but it's far from dull. Both sides are breaking with so much pace.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger very animated in the opening minutes. He will have been encouraged by the turn of pace shown by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to win a corner in a race with Davinson Sanchez. The Gunners have twice had opportunities to catch Spurs on the break - and they certainly have the tools to do it with Aubameyang in the side - but have wasted those chances.

Jimbo: To Ed 12:31, "progressed a bit", but they won't win anything this season, how long can Pochettino be a 'good manager' and Spurs a 'good team' without winning anything?
Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal
Lovely! Harry Kane flicks around the corner to send Dele Alli in behind the Arsenal defence, he bursts into the area and squares it back towards Kane, the England captain is in but Shkodran Mustafi slides in to intercept. Crucial.
Petr Cech has to save from his own man.
Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal
This is a very promising start, plenty of pace in the game and plenty of space in the game too. Spurs have already been one pass away from unlocking the Arsenal defence on a few occasions.

Both Davinson Sanchez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are real athletic players, real speed merchants - I think the battle between them will be a really key one today.
Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal win a corner through the persistence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but Granit Xhaka's corner is well cleared.

Two attacks for either side so far - and they've both gone for the long ball - trying to get the ball in behind their opponents, trying to stretch their opposition defences. It's been cagey so far.

Ed: Spurs have four points fewer in a more competitive league, are still in the Champions League (unlike last season), beat Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund whilst playing in a new stadium and having their best defender injured and losing Walker. They've progressed a bit.
Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal
Mohamned Elneny floats a through ball into the area but it's too strong for Jack Wilshere, while Dele Alli gets into the area at the other end. Lively stuff.
Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal get the ball rolling in the 195th north London derby!

Speaking as a neutral I'd like a nice early goal...
I can picture that 1993 FA Cup semi-final as if it was yesterday. And 91.
He is you know...

Matt Jones: Dele Alli has looked like a League One player this season. Meanwhile, Erik Lamela looks like a footballer. I would definitely be playing Lamela over Alli.

Here come the sides!
It's very quiet in the Wembley tunnel. No Tony Adams style characters these days. Almost silence from both sets of players in fact.

The pleasing bit with Jan Vertonghen is his leadership qualities, not just what he can do with the ball. As a manager you want as many of those as possible, especially in that position.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan floats around the pitch, he drifts infield from that right flank, and he makes himself really difficult to pick up for defenders. And for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - you've got to be thinking - 'if I make runs, he's going to pick me out'. I think Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang are going to be really important for Arsenal today, and for the rest of the season.
