Sunderland did brilliantly to come from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at Bristol City last week - and they're going to have to come from behind if they're going to get anything against Brentford today too.

Kamohelo Mokotjo puts the visitors ahead with a drilled effort from 25 yards beyond Black Cats keeper Lee Camp.

The third goal of the day whistles in a few moments later, Jason Demteriou with a fine finish to put Southend 2-0 up against Portsmouth.

  8. Anyone for a half-and-half scarf?published at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2018

    Preston 0-0 Wolves

Even by half-and-half scarf standards this is really something. I mean, I know Wolves are going well and all, but this is a second-tier regular season game at Preston we've got on our hands here!

Nonetheless, it's 0-0 during the early stages at Deepdale.

There has just been a little earthquake in Cardiff, and reports suggest it was felt further afield in south Wales.

Either that or Tony Pulis just slammed his cap on the floor in Middlesbrough's changing room next door.

Get your tracksuits on and roll up your sleeves, it's Neil Warnock against Tony Pulis at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Warnock's Cardiff are fourth in the Championship table, a point behind the automatic promotion places.

Under Pulis' watch, meanwhile, Boro are in ninth place, four points off the play-off spots.

This promises to be a rugged old tussle between the two sides.

  15. Villa's talisman?published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2018

Fulham v Aston Villa (15:00 GMT)

    Jack GrealishImage source, Getty Images

How important is Jack Grealish to Aston Villa? According to their top scorer Albert Adomah, very important.

Since 30 December, Grealish has made six successive league starts in Villa's run of seven straight Championship victories.

"Since Jack came back in, he's been immense," Adomah told BBC WM.

"Even if he doesn't score, he produces magic. He creates things from nowhere.

"He's always producing assists. It's down to the team that I'm scoring so many goals but, if I keep on scoring and the team is winning, then that would make most happy."

As it is, neither Grealish nor Adomah are playing at Craven Cottage today!

  16. Team newspublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2018

Championship leaders Wolves name an unchanged side from the team that beat QPR 2-1 last week for their game against Preston North End. The Lilywhites make three changes with Josh Earl, Ben Davies and John Welsh coming in for Greg Cunningham, Tommy Spurr and Paul Gallagher.

Cardiff City make two changes against Middlesbrough as Sol Bamba and Joe Bennett start. Muhamed Besic makes his Boro debut after joining on loan from Everton on deadline day.

Meanwhile, Birkir Bjarnason and Axel Tuanzebe start for Aston Villa and Lucas Piazon and Oliver Norwood drop to the bench for Fulham.

Preston v WolvesImage source, Rex Features

Could we be on for a five-goal cracker at Deepdale this afternoon? Last time Preston and Wolves met, Alex Neil's side fought valiantly but lost 3-2.

League leaders Wolves, who haven't won away at Preston since 2008-09 when they went on to win the Championship title, come into the game off the back of three consecutive league wins and Neil knows the task ahead of his side this afternoon.

"They are a good side. Their record this season tells the story, really," Neil told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"I thought we gave a good account of ourselves last time. I think our frustrations were with a couple of the goals however that's gone now and we've got to focus on putting a good performance in.

"The account we left ourselves on that day was very good. Going down to 3-0 is not very nice but we came back to 3-2 and continued to push them back."

  18. Blues to bounce back?published at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2018

Birmingham City v Millwall (15:00 GMT)

    Steve CotterillImage source, Getty Images

After last weekend's 2-0 Second City derby defeat at Aston Villa, Birmingham will be looking to get back on form against a Millwall side who are unbeaten in their past five league games.

Blues boss Steve Cotterill says his side are looking to get back to winning ways.

"We have put that to bed and we are looking to try to recapture our good form. Millwall will be strong and physical so there will be elements of the game which we will need to do very well in," Cotterill told BBC WM 95.6.

The Lions have never completed a league double over Blues in 18 previous seasons, but will hope to do just that today after winning the reverse fixture 2-0 in October.

Neil Harris' side, who sit 14th in the Championship, will have Tim Cahill among the substitutes again.

Now, this isn't something you see every day. A sprinkler has apparently exploded on the pitch at the Keepmoat and created a massive hole in the surface, as you can see by the tweet below.

There's no word of the match being called off, but you'd have thought they'll have to find a way of filling it before kick-off.

If Burton beat neighbours Nottingham Forest and Sunderland fail to overcome Brentford, the Brewers will leapfrog the Black Cats and send Chris Coleman's side bottom of the Championship.

With Barnsley not playing today, Birmingham and Bolton could both pull five points clear of the relegation zone with victories this afternoon.
