    FT: Middlesbrough 3-0 Leeds

Patrick Bamford is the man of the moment for Middlesbrough.

His hat-trick tonight was the first in the league for Middlesbrough at the Riverside since Afonso Alves netted three in an 8-1 Premier League win against Man City way back in May 2008.

That feels like an appropriate point to end on. Enjoy your weekend Boro fans.

    FT: Middlesbrough 3-0 Leeds

"We were second-best, they won every second-ball," Leeds head coach Paul Heckingbottom tells Sky Sports.

"It was disappointing because we were second-best. I thought Boro were good - they were at it and really up for the game and we didn't cope with them, which is disappointing.

"We need to come to places like this and at least compete. There are not too many positives I can take."

"It's a very good team performance but it was also a massive community performance," the Middlesbrough manager tells Sky Sports.

"The people who have worked on this ground are the heroes. The people who were here until 7 o'clock yesterday night were brilliant. A great thanks to the people who got this game on tonight."

A cheer goes up around the Riverside. Unfortunately for Leeds it's an ironic one.

Cliff: So that's TWO offside goals we've been done over with tonight, getting hard to take. If one was to VAR all calls against #lufc, external this season we'd prob still be top 6

Patrick Bamford's second goal was certainly close, while for his hat-trick goal he was clearly beyond the last man. The linesman may have thought that Pontus Jansson was intentionally trying to play the ball, therefore making Bamford's position irrelevant though.

It should be 4-0. Adama Traore skins Vurnon Anita yet again and cuts back for George Friend, who scuffs his attempt wide.

Middlesbrough get a handy slice of luck - not that they needed it.

Adama Traore cuts inside and shoots, with his shot cannoning off Pontus Jansson into the path of Patrick Bamford who was clearly offside. The striker takes a touch and puts it into the bottom corner to register his first career hat-trick.
