  • Kick-off: 15:00 GMT

  • Brighton aiming to win consecutive Premier League home matches for the second time

  • Swansea are two short of 300 Premier League goals

  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 45 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

Oh! And now Jordan Ayew has hit the post for Swansea!

His low effort cannoned back off the post, onto Mat Ryan and then fell to Martin Olsson who fired wide, when perhaps he should have scored.

A rare nervy moment for Albion.

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 44 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

A second goal for the home side would make life very difficult for Swansea and they nearly get it as Pascal Gross picks out Shane Duffy from a corner, but his header smacks the crossbar.

  3. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

Swansea seeing a bit more of the ball in the last 10 minutes or so, but the deflected effort of Van der Hoorn is the closest that they have come.

  4. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

This is becoming a bit of a pattern, as Brighton break away at pace after a Swansea corner.

It's a delivery by Ki Sung-Yeung which is picked up by Jose Izquierdo after the ball gets stuck between the legs of Martin Olsson.

Izquierdo combines with Pascal Gross and Davy Propper before a ball from the right is firmly and efficiently headed away by Sam Clucas.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 34 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

    Is this a tactical change?

Swansea make the first substitution of the match, with Nathan Dyer replaced by Andre Ayew.

Dyer doesn't look very pleased as he trots off. No indication that he was carrying an injury.

That was a penalty all day long. I'm not usually a fan of putting them straight down the middle but Glenn Murray's scored.

  7. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

A nice corner routine from Brighton sees Pascal Gross go deep to Shane Duffy beyond the far post. His header back is blocked and eventually comes to nothing.

  8. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

Mike van der Hoorn conceded the penalty which allowed Brighton to take the lead, but finds time and space to get a hopeful shot away from 30 yards.

It deflects first off Davy Propper and then Lewis Dunk before Mat Ryan makes a superb relfex save.

That would have been a comical way for the Swans to have levelled had it gone in.

  9. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Swansea

Suffice to say, this is not the start that the Swans would have wanted, or indeed have expected, given their recent good form in league and cup.

In a rare excursion into Brighton's half, the visitors win a free-kick about 35 yards from goal.

Ki's delivery is swung into the box, finding captain Federico Fernandez, but the Seagulls clear away his cushioned header.

GOAL - Brighton 1-0 Swanseapublished at 18 mins

    Glenn Murray

Glenn Murray scored the only goal when these sides met at the Liberty in November's reverse fixture.

And he's opened the scoring again here. Straight down the middle from 12 yards as Lukasz Fabianski goes the wrong way.

That's his ninth goal of the Premier League season and 11th in all competitions.

  11. PENALTYpublished at 17 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Swansea

Brighton break into the box and Glenn Murray is clearly fouled by Mike van der Hoorn.

Referee Mike Dean has no hesitation in pointing to the spot.

  12. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Swansea

Brighton stringing together some nice passing play before Pascal Gross sees an effort on goal cannon off Tom Carroll.

Then, an attempted cross to Lukasz Fabianski's far post looks to be going harmlessly out of play, but Jose Izquierdo does well to keep it in.

It falls to Davy Propper, but his shot from distance is snatched at and sails well over the target.

  13. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Swansea

The resulting corner finds Jose Izquierdo lurking on the edge of the box, but he blasts over.

  14. CLOSE!published at 6 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Swansea

    That's more like it!

Straight from Swansea's corner, Brighton break away on the left. Anthony Knockaert takes it into the box, right up to the byline before picking out Pascal Gross. But he hesitates over his shot, and a Swansea man gets a block in.

  15. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Swansea

Swansea - who are shooting from right to left in this first-half - win the first corner of the game...

    But it comes to nothing.

  16. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Swansea

A subdued start on the pitch, with Brighton looking to patiently build from the back.

Fantastic noise from the stands, though.

Swansea's first visit to The Amex brings together two in-form sides. Brighton are unbeaten in five games, whilst Swansea haven't lost in 10 - both runs are including their FA Cup exploits.

Carlos Carvalhal, who won a play-off semi-final at Brighton with Sheffield Wednesday, has instilled belief into his squad with a dramatic transformation and charmed the media with both Portuguese cakes and some memorable quotes. Swansea's American owners seem - finally - to have got something right.

Brighton have been steady in the Premier League from the very first day, and that is testament to the wisdom and inner calm of the admirable Chris Hughton. Their longest run without a point this season is three games - meaning a blip has never been allowed to become a slump.

Glenn Murray scored the only goal in November's reverse fixture, as Brighton took all three points at the Liberty Stadium.

The visitors were gifted their goal as Federico Fernandez ducked out of the way of a cross, allowing Murray to nudge the ball in with his thigh.
