It's a pretty strong Arsenal team which, for me, is a bit of a surprise with the League Cup final against Manchester City coming up on Sunday.

Are you surprised by Arsene Wenger's team selection? And if you've got any other Europa League musings you want to get off your chest, fire away!

Three Serie A clubs, including leaders Napoli, started the evening with some work to do to progress into the last 16 of the Europa League.

Lazio, who were surprisingly beaten by Steaua Bucharest last week have already dramatically turned things around in Rome.

Italy forward Ciro Immobile set the ball rolling. Bastos scored a second and Immobile added a third goal before half time. For the avoidance of any doubt Felipe Anderson fired in a fourth shortly after the break.

Napoli, have also responded to their 1-3 defeat against by RB Leipzig with Piotr Zieliński reducing their arrears in Germany.

Atalanta bashed by a Batshuayi double, last week (the on-loan Chelsea forward, Michy that is) face a tricky night in Bergamo against Borussia Dortmund (20:05 GMT)

The Germans, who are again second placed domestically to Bayern Munich, hold a 3-2 advantage.

Half of tonight's Europa League last 32 ties kicked off earlier this evening and are well into the second halves.

Celtic's game at Zenit St Petersburg was one of the early kick offs and that one is heading towards a tense conclusion.

Celtic won the first leg 1-0 but are currently trailing 3-0 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate with 30 minutes remaining.

  5. Why so blue?published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

There is a glimmer of hope for Ostersunds FK - Arsenal's kit.

The Gunners won't be stepping out in their traditional red and white home colours tonight. Instead they will be in their blue away kit, despite being at home.

Why on earth are they doing that, you might ask. Well it's because Ostersund's home and away kits are too similar in colour to Arsenal's home kit. When there is a potential clash in the Europa League, Uefa has the power to determine who wears what kit.

So it's bad news for the Gunners as they have to wear the strip that hasn't brought them much luck this season. Their record in blue? P:8 W:1 D:1 L:6.

  6. Team newspublished at 19:07 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

Arsenal v Ostersunds FK (3-0 first leg)

Arsenal still name a fairly strong team despite their big lead, making three changes from the first leg. Rob Holding, Sead Kolasinac and Jack Wilshere take the places of Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal and Mesut Ozil, who is ill. That means starts again for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck.

Ostersunds make two changes from the first leg - former Tadcaster Albion forward Jamie Hopcutt, a half-time substitute last week starts, with Hosam Aiesh also coming into the team. Samuel Mensiro and Alhaji Gero drop to the bench. Hopcutt is one of two English players in the team, alongside ex-Thornaby man Curtis Edwards.

Arsenal: Ospina, Bellerin, Chambers, Holding, Kolasinac, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Wilshere, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Welbeck

Ostersund: Keita, Mukiibi, Papagiannopoulos, Pettersson, Widgren, Aiesh, Edwards, Nouri, Sema, Hopcutt, Ghoddos

  7. One of football's biggest miracles needed?published at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

OK. Arsenal versus Ostersunds FK isn't by the dictionary definition a dead rubber, but it might as well be.

The Gunners are surely all but through to the last 16 of the Europa League after coasting to a 3-0 win in Sweden last week. Only one team has come to the Emirates this season and left with victory - Manchester United winning 3-1 back in December.

Ostersunds FK are going to need a footballing miracle, a view shared even by their coach.

"You need one of the biggest football miracles to go through," says Graham Potter. "We have nothing to lose."

Well, few people gave Wigan a chance against Manchester City on Monday...
