    Germany 0-0 Brazil

A brilliantly whipped in ball from Leon Goretzka on the right wing causes problems in the Brazil box. Luckily, Brazilian captain Thiago Silva does well to get there in front of Mario Gomez at the near post and head the ball behind.

Silva even manages to convince the officials that Gomez got the last touch.

Brazil's next game will be against Croatia in England on 3 June.

Anfield is one of the venues that could host it. It would mean Coutinho's return to the stadium after his departure from Liverpool last summer.

Scotland have just taken the lead against Hungary thanks to a goal from Matt Phillips in the 48th minute.

    Germany 0-0 Brazil

Philippe Coutinho seems up for this one tonight. Again he wriggles to find some space. He is able to get his shot off from just outside the penalty area but it is blocked and the chance again comes to nothing.

  5. Sane causing problems for Brazilpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 27 March 2018

Leroy Sane seems more than willing to explore the advances of Dani Alves on the right-side of the Brazilian defence.

In the days leading to the game, Brazil manager Tite made compliment after compliment to the Manchester City player.

    Germany 0-0 Brazil

A jinking run into the Germany box by Philippe Coutinho. He does the hard work and gets to the byeline, but his cross, aimed for Paulinho, is a poor one and Germany are able to clear the danger. Bright though from the ex-Liverpool man.

    Germany 0-0 Brazil

But the free-kick comes to nothing as Jerome Boateng and Mario Gomez are both beaten by the Brazilian offside trap. Wasteful.

  8. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Germany 0-0 Brazil

No chances to speak of for either side yet in Berlin. A half-chance here as Leon Goretzka is dumped to the ground and Germany have an indirect free-kick 40 yards out.

Kyle: Great to see such strong sides from both especially from Brazil. I'm expecting an open and entertaining game and I think it will end 2-2. With Sane and Coutinho on fire for both sides.

    Let's hope so Kyle.

    Germany 0-0 Brazil

By the way, this Brazil team is almost as strong as they get, obviously minus Neymar though, after he fractured a metatarsal and spraining an ankle during PSG's win over Marseille at the start of March.

Let's hope he has recovered in time for the World Cup in June.

  11. 'United by football..'published at 2 mins

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba scored one and made one as France beat 2018 World Cup hosts Russia in St Petersburg.

Pogba set up Kylian Mbappe, who gave France the lead in the 40th minute before Pogba added a second early in the second half with a free-kick.

Fedor Smolov pulled one back for Russia, but Mbappe added his second and France's third late on.

The French team also included Tottenham's Hugo Lloris, Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny, Chelsea's N'Golo Kante and Manchester United's Anthony Martial, with Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud coming on in the second half.

    Germany v Brazil (19:45 BST)

Interesting atmosphere here at the Olympic Stadium. The German fans applauded effusively the warm-up of Brazil and Roma goalkeeper Alisson.

Brazil manager Tite is trying to sort out a midfield conundrum. Manchester City's Fernandinho is being deployed in a different role he plays for the club in a attempt to balance the attacking prowess of the trio Coutinho-Jesus-Willian.

As we all know, the Selecao is missing the injured Neymar, who is in a race against time to be fit for their World Cup opener against Switzerland on 17 June.
