For the third week running, Alan Pardew heads into a Premier League game with his job as West Brom manager hanging by a thread.

The axe could have fallen after defeats to Huddersfield and Watford, yet somehow Pardew survives and there is a theory now he could remain in charge for the remainder of the season, even if the Baggies do go down.

Eight points from safety with nine games left, even Pardew accepts the situation is not good.

"We all recognise the reality that time is running out," he says in his programme notes today.

However, Pardew also points out how today's opponents Leicester rescued themselves from a similar position in 2015.

Wonder what the odds are for West Brom to be Premier League champions next season?

West Brom manager Alan Pardew makes two changes from the side which lost 1-0 at Watford seven days ago.

Oliver Burke is preferred to Jay Rodriguez in attack alongside Salomon Rondon.

  4. A pivotal afternoonpublished at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

West Brom v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

Eight points adrift of safety with nine Premier League matches left to play. Time is fast running out for Alan Pardew's West Brom side.

The Baggies are not quite drinking in last chance saloon. But they have saddled up the horse, and are ready to ride into town after pre-drinks.

This match against Leicester feels pivotal - victory could yet spur another Great Escape which would perhaps even eclipse their top-flight survival in 2005 under Bryan Robson. Get beat, however, and they could be well and truly cut adrift
