I love the description of this game in Gazzetta dello Sport as “an encounter of lost nobility and the desire to recover it".

Both teams have tumbled from lofty heights but Gennaro Gattuso seems to have Milan on the road to recovery, unbeaten in their last 13 games and no-one’s managed to score against them in the last six.

Arsene Wenger on the other hand faces the uncomfortable possibility of a fifth defeat in a row for the first time ever in his 22 years at Arsenal and as Gazzetta points out he’s got problems up front - “Aubameyang is ineligible, Lacazette is unavailable, Mkhitaryan still looks like a stranger in this team and Welbeck hasn’t scored for two months".

AC Milan v Arsenal (18:00 GMT)

Aaron Ramsey was left out of the Arsenal side for Sunday's defeat at Brighton, with some newspapers claiming his absence was a result of a dressing-room row. , externalWhatever the reason, the Wales midfielder is back.

He is brought in alongside striker Danny Welbeck and keeper David Ospina in three changes made by Arsene Wenger.

Petr Cech, as per in Europe this season, drops to the bench along with Alex Iwobi, while the Gunners are without the ineligible Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal XI: Ospina, Chambers, Koscielny, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Ramsey, Wilshere, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Welbeck
