    Brighton 0-0 Leicester

Glenn Murray, who in a parallel world should be starting up front for England alongside Ashley Barnes, fizzes a 20-yard drive just over the top. Decent effort.

    West Brom 0-1 Burnley

Should Burnley have had a pen there?

Ahmed Hegazi tugs at James Tarkowski's shirt in the box. Nothing given, though.

  3. 'Hammers comfortable'published at 15:33 British Summer Time 31 March 2018

    West Ham 2-0 Southampton

West Ham are comfortable and playing extremely well. They look like a team who should not be struggling, but if they do lose a goal at some point it will be interesting to see if they can play with the same swagger.

    Newcastle 0-0 Huddersfield

TP Is doing alright at Boro isn't he? But I take your point to a degree.

Chance again! Dwight Gayle scoops an effort over from about 12 yards, after neat thigh control to bring the ball down.

Huddersfield are on the rack. Big time.

Peter: I do not understand Southampton. They fire their manager because they are at risk of going down, only to hire somebody who was fired two weeks earlier for taking his team down. Why did they choose Hughes?

Oz: Why do managers like Mark Hughes and Tony Pulis keep getting work? If I performed as badly and as publicly as he does I would surely not be able to afford this internet connection!

Jesse Lingard is causing mayhem for Swansea.

He weaves and he wiggles along the edge of the box but his end product is blocked and rolls out.

    Must be...no!

Dwight Gayle is played through on goal by an absolute peach of a ball through by Jonjo Shelvey, quick thinking. Gayle is confronted by Jonas Lossl, he lifts it over the keeper - and wide!

Samrat: A goal, an assist, loses the ball, regains the ball! Are we seeing the return of the Alexis Sanchez of yore? Amen to that

Mark: I feel like I have travelled back in time. Great stuff by United so far, let's see more and shut everyone up.

Competitive, if not compelling stuff at Brighton. No real chances of note to report at all.

I don't think there's one West Ham player not playing well. Every single one of them seems up for it now.

    West Ham 2-0 Southampton

I had seen it suggested on Twitter that Mark Hughes may be the first manager to relegate two teams in the same season. Southampton have been dreadful so far, and are two points adrift of safety in the table as it stands.

Howepundit: Look's like Mark Hughes is trying to finish what he couldn't finish at Stoke, 2 goals down already?

James: Crowd trouble as a catalyst for escaping relegation?

  15. Happy days?published at 15:22 British Summer Time 31 March 2018

    West Ham 2-0 Southampton

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the London Stadium

I have spent four hours today at various West Ham fan protest events, where the main focus has been on the shortcomings of the current owners.

There is a visible security presence near to the directors' box to ensure there is no repeat of the scenes of three weeks ago against Burnley.

Not that it was likely anyway given the start West Ham have made today.

It is far too simplistic to say a winning team would end all the Hammers' troubles at the London Stadium.

    But it would definitely help.

    Ashley Barnes (21 mins)

    Glorious!

Ashley Barnes hangs in the air and pulls out a bicycle kick to send the ball past Ben Foster, after Aaron Lennon's cross.

That's four in four games for the Burnley forward.

What goes around comes around. When West Ham played at Stoke, Arnautovic had an excellent game.

But Mark Hughes went out of his way to abuse Arnautovic, and he clearly didn't forget it.

Some bad news for West Ham fans maybe though as Marko Arnautovic now goes down with an injury. Calf?

He is back on but not moving particularly well. Let's keep an eye on him.
