Finally, a shot on target for Arsenal as Granit Xhaka slams a free-kick from just outside the area at goal but Joe Hart thumps away.

Kyle: Arsenal's defending early on has been awful. They look all over the place. To easy for West Ham to get in behind the Arsenal back line so far.

Ashley Barnes is booked for the most blatant foul you will ever see. As he chases a hopeful punt forward he full on shoves Bruno Martins Indi over. Initially Mike Dean doesn't blow for the foul, but does eventually before booking the Burnley man.

Not been a memorable spectacle so far and the atmosphere has gone very flat.

We had the former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson on BBC Radio 5 live before the game and he told us that Arsene Wenger gave him a huge bear hug when he saw him today, the first time that Wenger has ever done that in all the years that he’s known him.

Arsenal's defence is looking very suspect at the moment as they three times they almost get caught out. First, João Mário just slices through but his low shot is straight at the keeper, before a Shkodran Mustafi tackle blocks a shot by Marko Arnautovic, who then sees a curling effort denied by David Ospina.

Laurent Koscielny nods just wide from Granit Xhaka's corner. Arsenal firmly on top at the moment.

Lots of empty seats around Emirates Stadium - but the West Ham United fans try to get things going with a few colourful chants about why Arsene Wenger is leaving Arsenal.

West Ham defender James Collins has opted to watch this one from the away end, although he's not seeing much of it at the moment as he poses for selfie after selfie.
