Germany wisely withdraw Sami Khedira. On comes Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

  4. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

Germany midfielder Sami Khedira has hurt his knee. He gets treatment and goes off to talk to boss Joachim Low. Surely no point in taking a risk...

  6. Postpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Germany 1-1 Spain

I wonder how much Timo Werner would cost this summer in this crazy market. He flies down the left and picks out Mesut Ozil, who is tackled just as he's about to shoot and the ball dribbles through to David de Gea.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    France 2-1 Colombia

Expect a few Premier League managers to be waving their cheque book in the direction of Monaco's Thomas Lemar again this summer.

His goal, and what a strike it was, has the French deservedly ahead at the interval.

  8. Postpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Germany 1-1 Spain

    What a save!

Germany have almost done as much in 120 seconds of the second half as they did in the opening period.

They play a short corner, which comes to Julian Draxler. He hits an excellent curling shot from 25 yards which David de Gea brilliantly tips around the post with a diving save.

  9. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Germany 1-1 Spain

Germany immediately on the attack, Timo Werner charges into the box and his shot is touched around the post for a corner.

Disappointing from a neutral point of view as Spain replace Andres Iniesta with Saul at the break.

  12. Elsewhere in Europe...published at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    France 2-1 Colombia

David Ospina is doing his best to make amends for his earlier bout of butter fingers.

A brilliant run and pass from Kylian Mbappe was crying out for Antoine Griezmann to extend France's lead but the Arsenal keeper stood his ground well to save.

  13. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Germany 1-1 Spain

Germany's last seven goals have all been scored by different players - Sandro Wagner, Antonio Rudiger, Leon Goretzka, Emre Can, Timo Werner, Lars Stindl and Thomas Muller.

  14. Given's penalty marathonpublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

It's not just international friendlies going on tonight. Just outside our office in Salford, Republic of Ireland legend Shay Given is facing penalties for 12 hours solid for Sport Relief.

He has conceded 742 so far - but 984 have been saved or missed.

(I scored my kick against him earlier)

You can watch the live feed of that here.

  15. Elsewhere in Europe...published at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    France 2-1 Colombia

Thomas Lemar doubled the French advantage, but Sevilla striker Luis Muriel has immediately pulled one back for the Colombians.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Argentina 0-0 Italy

The top two scorers in Serie A are playing for opposing sides in this game.

    So of course, it's 0-0.

Italy's Ciro Immobile has bagged 34 league goals, with Argentine Gonzalo Higuain notching 22.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Germany 1-1 Spain

This game has not let us down. Level at the break.

  18. Elsewhere in Europe...published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

Serbia trail to Morocco at half-time, in a game which is being played in Torino, Italy.

Southampton's Dusan Tadic restored parity for the World Cup-bound Serbs after an early Hakim Ziyech goal but Khalid Boutaib has put the African side 2-1 ahead.

  19. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Germany 1-1 Spain

Germany have a promising attack but Julian Draxler tries to take on Sergio Ramos, who steps across him and shepherds the ball out.

You're not going to beat Ramos in a physical battle...

  20. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Germany 1-1 Spain

Some more attractive play from Spain. Good play by Isco on the byeline and he then finds Andres Iniesta, who plays an immediate ball back to the Real Madrid man. Isco, unfortunately for the move, is offside.
