Kim Jin-su gingerly climbs to his feet, trotting off for some more treatment before jogging back on. The game is also moving again.

A minor pause as Kim Jin-su is sat on the grass. He doesn't fancy a breather in the Belfast sun, no, he's got a knock.

Michael O'Neill uses the time to bark out some instructions to his players while moving his hands like he is playing a game of charades.

    Northern Ireland 1-1 South Korea

Delicately poised is this game as we approach the half-hour mark. Though after the opening 10 minutes that it might be a long afternoon for the Northern Irish.

Jamie Ward is still a livewire isn't he? The Northern Ireland winger drifts inside from the right flank to cause South Korea's defence a headache with his movement. He combines with Josh Magennis before the visitors clear.

    Northern Ireland 1-1 South Korea

The home side are playing with much more confidence now and are starting to stretch the visitors, who are preparing for a ninth successive World Cup finals remember.

South Korea offer a warning that they are still dangerous in the attacking third, home keeper Trevor Carson needing to be alert to gather Lee Yong's low cross with Son Heung-min lurking nearby.

That's livened up Windsor Park! The home fans are bouncing, Michael O'Neill barely breaks into a smile.

It was a great free-kick. Two players run over the ball. Korea went to sleep.

The defender had no chance. There were two blue jerseys behind him. That was well worked, I haven't seen it before but a lot of people will try to copy that.

Straight from the training ground! That's what they work on during the week, so it's pleasing to see it work in practice. With everyone in the South Korea box waiting for the free-kick.

Northern Ireland go short with Jamie Ward scampering down the right channel to cross low into the six-yard box.

The visitors don't know what is going on... Kim Min-jae bundles Ward's ball into his own net while trying to clear.

Aaron Hughes looks shaky as he's coming off. It's all changed these days - I remember a bang on my head against Charlton. Next thing I remember is sitting on the bus on the way back to Leicester and I'd played the whole second half.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18 mins

    Northern Ireland 0-1 South Korea

Yep, that's Aaron Hughes' day done. On comes Millwell right-back Conor McLaughlin. Like for like.

    Northern Ireland 0-1 South Korea

Aaron Hughes is back on the pitch, but I suspect it won't be for long. He's walking more gingerly than someone who has just done 'leg day' at the gym for the first time in six months.

    Northern Ireland 0-1 South Korea

Northern Ireland are down to 10 men by the way. Temporarily, as Aaron Hughes looks in a spot of bother after being clattered.

It was a good finish by Jamie Ward, it came in waist high and he drove it in. But the assistant referee had the flag up straight away. We could bear fruit from free-kicks and corners in the final third.

  14. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 13 mins

    Northern Ireland 0-1 South Korea

A glimmer of hope for Northern Ireland. They have the ball in the South Korean net as Jamie Ward smashes in from close range following a home set-piece... but he doesn't even celebrate. He knows he is well offside.

  15. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Northern Ireland 0-1 South Korea

Another South Korea attack yields another corner... Northern Ireland partially clear as far as Son Heung-min whose fierce angle drive is beaten away by Trevor Carson. Carson is earning his corn so far.

    Northern Ireland 0-1 South Korea

The home side have barely ventured into Korean territory yet. Jamie Ward's desperate punt towards Josh Magennis is as close as they get, the ball running safely into the hands of South Korea keeper Kim Seung-gyu.

Kwon Chang-hoon looks mustard. Oh, he plays his football in Dijon by the way.

A brilliant pass from Son Heung-min to chip the ball through. Kwon Chang-hoon came in off the right hand side. Jamal Lewis didn't see him as he came round the back. The quality of the pass made the goal and Kwon drew Carson out.

South Korea look so comfortable on the ball, this could be a long day.

    Kwon Chang-hoon

Ah. Not the start that Northern Ireland wanted.

Michael O'Neill's side, who have been on the backfoot, are picked apart like a cotton thread. A ball over the top picks out the run of midfielder Kwon Chang-hoon, who takes a touch before rifling in under Trevor Carson.

Aaron Hughes doesn't look out of place. He just goes on and on and always looks in control.
