Burnley manager Sean Dyche told MOTD: “We told the players we’ve got to get back to what we’re about and I’m pleased we’ve got that first win. It’s a start, and we’ll look to continue that.

“I was pleased with our energy and control of the game early on. We were making chances, forcing them back and being creative in different ways – they were four good goals for different reasons.

“We also had to defend diligently. Then they left themselves open and we capitalised on that. We made some massive chances against Southampton and Watford and didn’t take them - today we did.

“I don’t think Bournemouth were knocking on the door too much. It was an important save by Joe Hart but it would have been unjust for them to get something because I thought we were very good overall.”

And it's all over, Burnley are off the foot of the table after an emphatic win!

Eddie Howe will be scratching his head over this one - his side have dominated in terms of possession at times, but will leave with a thumping defeat to their names.

Bournemouth win a free kick on the edge of the box - Junior Stanislas takes it, but Joe Hart beats the shot, which flies straight at him, away to safety.

Defoe has a sniff of a chance as the ball skims over the defence from the right, but it falls just to his right when on his left would have been ideal.

Burnley have hardly been down the other end for most of the half, but as it stands are earning three points.

Eddie Howe decides it's time to unleash Jermain Defoe - he's on for left-back Adam Smith, so there'll be some major reshuffling going on.

It's all Bournemouth, but still there's no end product. Ryan Fraser drops a teasing ball into the box from the right, but Joshua King at the far post just can't reach it.

Joe Hart and Ben Mee, team mates at Man City back in the day, get in each other's way to concede a corner.

Bournemouth get on with things and win two more quickly, but Chris Wood is back in defence and does well to clear away with a powerful header.

Bournemouth have had the better of things since the break, but have nothing to show for it. Maybe the arrival of Stanislas will give them the cutting edge they have lacked?

Joshua King runs out of pitch as he races to the byline, but the ball goes too far ahead.

Callum Wilson is off, Junior Stanislas is on, and for Burnley Sam Vokes goes off to be replaced by Ashley Barnes.

Now it's Asmir Begovic's turn to make a good save, sticking his right foot out to parry the ball away inside his six yard area at the near post.

David Brooks gets into space on the left and races into tjhe box before shooting, but Joe Hart comes out to snuff it out, making a good save with his legs.

A good set up from Bournemouth, who pass it around nicely to give Jefferson Lerma a shooting chance from outside the box - bit it lacks any venom and Joe Hart flops easily down to his left to save.
