  1. 'Sigurdsson keen to make amends'published at 16:21 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Everton 2-0 Fulham

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

Since Gylfi Sigurdsson missed the penalty he has been involved in everything. He has come alive, thinking he had to rectify the error.

The ball comes out to him and hits a half volley with his left foot around the defenders with his so called 'weaker foot'. A great finish.

  2. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-0 Brightonpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Sergio Aguero (65 mins)

A goal started and finished by that man Sergio Aguero!

The striker just breezes through three Brighton players, gets into the box and plays a one-two with Raheem Sterling before placing into the bottom corner.

That's his job done for the day too, as Pep Guardiola subs off the striker for Gabriel Jesus.

    Wolves 0-0 Southampton

Steve Bull is in the stands, get him stripped and on the pitch. Our best chance of seeing a goal today. Southampton are huffing and puffing but look short up front. Wolves continue to play some nice stuff but also lacking a bite in the final third.

  4. 'Calvert-Lewin earned the penalty'published at 16:18 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Everton 1-0 Fulham

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

I think it was a generous penalty award. It was a coming-together, more often than not the defender gets the decision.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin throws himself to the ground and earned the penalty. I'm not going to pretend I'm not glad it was given though.

    Gylfi Sigurdsson (56 mins)

The villian becomes hero! Jonjoe Kenny's cross is not dealt with by Denis Odoi, who gave away that penalty, and Gylfi Sigurdsson lets the ball run to him before stroking home left-footed from teh fringe of the area. Nice controlled strike. Just passed it in.

Newcastle have not offered much at all, still. 'Very boring' is my colleague's assessment in fact.

    Man City 1-0 Brighton

Constant pressure from Manchester City now as they pepper the Brighton goal with shots. Sergio Aguero heads wide before Leroy Sane's downward header bounces over the bar.

Still, while there's just one goal in it, Brighton always have a chance.

  9. 'A lethargic penalty attempt'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Everton 0-0 Fulham

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on Final Score

The penalty was terrible. Very lethargic run-up, two or three step and throws a leg at it.

We know how good Gylfi Sigurdsson is and expect him to score.

  10. 'Fantastic effort'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

    Steve Sidwell
Brighton coach on BBC Radio 5 live

Great ball in from Holebas straight onto the penalty spot and Deeney makes a fantastic run to get to it. But that's a fantastic effort from Leno to tip it around the post.

Lively stuff from Lucas Moura at the start of the second half. The Brazilian first has a close-range flick palmed away by Jonas Lossl before Christopher Schindler's last-ditch tackle denies him at the last second.

Justice is done, for me Clive.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:11 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

Gylfi Sigurdsson puts in a corner, Michael Keane nods it down and Richarlison hooks a volley over the top from close range. It was an acrobatic effort but never under control.

Kurt Zouma then heads over from another corner as Everton look for a smart start to the second half.
