Scott Brown is forced to concede another free-kick as AEK's Andre Simoes drives forward deep into Celtic territory, but again it comes to nothing.

Celtic are swiftly back on the attack, with Callum McGregor carrying the ball forward with menace, but he can't quite find Odsonne Edouard with his pass forward.

Dangerous moment for Celtic, as Anastasios Bakasetas evades Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham before Brown brings him down, 30 yards out, in a central area.

Bakasetas gets up and takes the free-kick himself, but blazes it high over the bar.

That was Callum McGregor's second goal of the season, the Scotland midfielder adding to his reputation as a go-to man for Celtic on the big occasions.

That goal was coming. Tierney has been immense down the left-hand side and played a key part. McGregor scores another crucial European goal for the Scottish champions. The Greeks are on the ropes as Celtic continue to pummel them.

Wave after wave of attack for Celtic - Kieran Tierney is terrorising the Greeks down their right hand side but AEK standing firm so far. They look dangerous on the break and a few nervy moments at the back for the home side should serve as warning.

James Forrest takes on his man down the right flank and Celtic have a corner. Then Kieran Tierney goes down just outside the box, and Celtic have a free-kick in a very promising spot. But Odsonne Edouard's free-kick doesn't make it past the AEK wall.

More good play from Celtic, and this time Callum McGregor drives into the box and lets fly with a rasping effort that AEK keeper Vasilios Barkas pushes over.

This time Kieran Tierney drives in a cross from the left and Odsonne Edouard almost gets a touch on it, but Vasilios Lampropoulos manages to make a last-ditch clearance.

Kieran Tierney marauds forward down the left flank, but when everyone is expecting a ball whipped into the box, he plays a delicate cut-back. James Forrest appears to jump out of the challenge with a Greek defender looming large.

Konstantinos Galanopoulos tries his luck for AEK to warm the palms of Craig Gordon early on, but is comfortable for the Celtic keeper.

Athens have made a late change with Swedish defender Niklas Hult coming into the side. Lucas Boye has dropped out, with Helder Lopes moving further forward on the left flank.
