    Tim: The comeback is on!!

Martin: Still waiting for Spurs to let it slip! Old habits die hard.

Amrul: Morata flagged offside 18 times. The false Inzaghi.

  2. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 3-1 Chelseapublished at 85 mins

    Olivier Giroud (Chelsea)

This game had been screaming out for Olivier Giroud, but he only came on at the 75-minute mark. Within 10 minutes he has the ball in the back of the net. It is a fine cross from Cesar Azpilicueta, Giroud does what Giroud does, gets up well and heads it powerfully into the net past Hugo Lloris.

Five minutes and injury time for Chelsea to score two and produce one of the most amazing comebacks of all time.

    Andrew: More like Sonaldo

Paul: Honestly I think Sarri should reshuffle that defence. We can't be losing against any potential top 4 rivals at this stage.

Michael: In the week of Didier Drogba's retirement, I can’t help but think that he would have had a fair amount to say about this game.

  4. GOOD SAVE!published at 82 mins

    Tottenham 3-0 Chelsea

Harry Kane, once again today, is allowed to charge forward without a Chelsea man trying to stop him. This time his low strike is well held by Kepa Arrizabalaga, maybe the only Chelsea player to come out of this match with any credit.

    Tottenham 3-0 Chelsea

Chelsea really don't need an injury to Eden Hazard. Serge Aurier slides in, wins the ball, but also collects the Belgian with the follow-through. Chelsea have already made their three changes and Hazard looks in pain. He comes back on very gingerly, limping.

Fahad: This is just like when Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-0 after which Conte pulled off the masterstroke. Seems eerily familiar.

Steve: Chelsea target top four. A realistic chance but need to buy well in January.

Billy: Please tell Brian we're quite happy with drubbing Chelsea for now.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    Tottenham 3-0 Chelsea

A change for Tottenham and it is a standing ovation for Son Heung-min. Well deserved as well. His goal was a wonderful one. Erik Lamela is the man who is on in his place.

This one seems to be tamely ending towards an easy Spurs win. Expect Chelsea to be very unhappy about the penalty they didn't get when it was only 1-0.

Willian off, Giroud on for Chelsea's final change. Probably about 30 minutes too late.

Max: To those who say spending is essential to a team's quality. Who said Spurs would suffer as a result. Look at Morata and Alexis Sanchez. Take heed and think about what a good man manager and trust can do instead of opening a wallet.

Theo: This is getting beyond disgraceful from Chelsea... Sunday league defending.

August: Luiz must be having flashbacks to a certain other game. He's no stranger to being humiliated while wearing a yellow shirt...

A sore one for Eric Dier, who is caught on the ankle by N'Golo Kante as the Frenchman followed through. Seemed accidental.

    Christophe: Son Heung-Messi?

  14. CLOSE!published at 70 mins

    Tottenham 3-0 Chelsea

Yet another chance for Tottenham. Harry Kane, with some excellent hold-up play, slots it to Dele Alli. He has time to curl it at goal and it scrapes the bar and goes over. Chelsea just have not turned up. Still 20 minutes left.

  15. WHAT A MISS!published at 69 mins

    Tottenham 3-0 Chelsea

For all Chelsea's ineffectiveness, let's not take anything away from Spurs - they've been excellent.

And that should be four. Chelsea, once more sliced open. The overlapping Serge Aurier, up from right back, squares it and finds just the man you want in that situation, but Harry Kane sends it over the bar. A horrible miss. It probably won't matter though.

Pete: Hate to say it as a Chelsea season ticket holder, but Luiz has been a liability for some time and today it has hurt us badly!

A Barkley cross, Alonso gets a glancing touch and that takes it away from N'Golo Kante, who is the furthest man forward. A kind of cross made for Olivier Giroud, if he wasn't still stranded on the bench.

Tim: It is all very well saying Hazard should get a yellow card for diving but why didn't he get a penalty when clearly fouled? Spurs stop him scoring with a foul but that's just fine? Double standards all round.

Dave: The Wembley ground staff wouldn’t have expected Spurs to still be playing there. There had been a boxing match and two NFL games, with the next scheduled events being the two recent England internationals. Under the circumstances they’re not doing a bad job.
