    FT: Man City 3-1 Bournemouth

Pep Guardiola, fist-clenched, pumps his arms in celebration as he looks up to the stands.

That could have gone quite differently.

I'm off for now - but you can follow reaction to this and all of Saturday's Premier League games over here.

    Man City 3-1 Bournemouth

Raheem Sterling with a chance to shoot on the edge but he passes off to Danilo, not a great ball that is intercepted.

    We're almost up.

Bournemouth ran out of time after City's third goal.

  4. Postpublished at 90 mins+2

    Man City 3-1 Bournemouth

Ederson punches clear and Andrew Surman's loft back in dribbles out for a goal kick.

City's official man of the match is Leroy Sane. Hard to argue with that but Raheem Sterling has been very good too.

  5. Postpublished at 90 mins+1

    Man City 3-1 Bournemouth

Steve Cook still game with that long throw. Still causing havoc. Danilo scrambles behind for a corner.

BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City cruising towards an eighth successive home win in the Premier League.

It is the first time they have done that from the start of a season since 2013, when Manuel Pellegrini had just succeeded Roberto Mancini.

They got up to 11 that year before Chelsea beat them.

Next visitors here in the league are Everton, who drew the corresponding fixture last term.

  8. Postpublished at 89 mins

    Man City 3-1 Bournemouth

Riyad Mahrez gets his first touches as he scampers down the right wing. Not bad bringing him on when you're 3-1 up. And Sergio Aguero is in the stands of course.

We're petering out here. Ederson casually advances to the edge of his box and booms a through pass perfectly up to Mahrez. Tyrone Mings catches him to clear for a corner.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 87 mins

    Man City 3-1 Bournemouth

David Silva sets Leroy Sane loose beyond the final man once more but the flag is up. Pep Guardiola is crouched down, observing things from the tactical angle.

Riyad Mahrez is coming on now. Bernardo Silva gets a nice round of applause as he saunters off.

  10. CLOSE!published at 84 mins

    Man City 3-1 Bournemouth

Leroy Sane with a blistering run and strike on goal that Asmir Begovic somehow tips over the bar.

    Two changes for Bournemouth.

Lys Mousset and Junior Stanislas are on - Joshua King and Callum Wilson off.

The first half could have gone either way, but once City got the second goal, Bournemouth had to chase. The third goal is simplicity, and Sane has been outstanding all afternoon.

  12. 'They look so good'published at 16:40 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2018

David Silva hasn't been on very long, he's such a good footballer! I reckon Guardiola wanted to give Silva a full 90 minutes of rest but it hasn't worked out that way and he's already heavily involved. He takes a touch to find the perfect pass into Sane, and crosses for Gundogan to tap in. They look so good in possession.

GOAL - Man City 3-1 Bournemouthpublished at 79 mins

    Ilkay Gundogan

Ah, it's a lovely move, slick. Leroy Sane is released in the box by David Silva, he drills a low ball across goal to Ilkay Gundogan, who stabs home. Easy.

Relief for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola. Bournemouth had been threatening another equaliser. And as we will see later on Match of the Day, they might have had a good penalty shout.

City are moving five points clear at the top - at least for a day.

  14. 'That is a penalty'published at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2018

    Manchester City 2-1 Bournemouth

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think that is a penalty. City are bringing everyone into their own box, Fernandinho goes to win the first header and he is all over the back of Mings and jumps on his back. Anywhere else on the pitch that is a free kick. Eddie Howe was certainly protesting on the sideline.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

Gabriel Jesus is coming off for David Silva. Just seeing a replay of the move before that awful Steve Cook shank. Fernandinho shoved Tyrone Mings with two hands in the box as the defender was jumping to reach Cook's long throw. Did the referee not spot it?

  16. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

Man City are having to weather the storm. Steve Cook launches another long throw into the box. It comes back to him and he hammers a left-footed half volley out for a throw in on the other side.

    David Silva is coming on.

  17. CHANCE!published at 75 mins

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

David Brooks drifts a corner to the far post, Ederson comes to reach it but mis-judges and misses. Steve Cook delivers a long throw and Callum Wilson almost connects at the near post - another corner instead as he is crowded out.

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Fabian Delph would be low on the list of potential Manchester City players who might pull off an impressive trick midway through a game.

But the England midfielder just did one, meeting a long crossfield pass with a first-time back-heel that went straight to Leroy Sane.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 72 mins

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

David Brooks - for 10 years on City's books before being released as a 16-year-old - is coming on for Bournemouth. Ryan Fraser makes way.

The away side are flagging slightly now. They are having to track City's runaway pace.

  20. CLOSE!published at 68 mins

    Man City 2-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth are pegged right back, every man in the box. But still somehow Gabriel Jesus squeezes a pass to the far post, from where Fernandinho sends a coolly-struck low effort inches wide of the goal.

    The chances are stacking up...
