James Ballantyne: it would show the FA to have an anti-United bias to not suspend Fellaini for the hair pull foul. It is more punishing to have him playing.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It was a difficult game after last week, when we played three big games.

"We started the second half really well. It's true that Southampton created, we conceded more chances than them, so it's unlucky for them because they had good chances to score.

"Hugo Lloris was man of the match and that's something I'm disappointed about. We conceded more chances than against Arsenal. But I feel it was job done and I'm happy with the three points."

Southampton

Southampton's interim manager Kelvin Davis speaking to Sky Sports: "We conceded three goals and our standards are better than that. We lost a bit of focus on the set-plays and people ghosted in.

"On reflection from the whole game, I don't think anyone would say we didn't deserve at least one goal, and I really believe that if we produce those opportunities again in three or four games' time then we'll get our rewards.

"The lads have been fantastic for me and I believe the new manager will see a group of players that want to play football, that want to play for this club and that have talent."

Southampton

Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse: "We've got a great togetherness and you could see that tonight in the second half.

"It was a 3-1 scoreline but there were lot of positives to take. We showed what we're about tonight. On another day, if those chances go in, maybe we could have got something.

"There's a lot of change in football and, as players, you have to adapt. The new manager [Ralph Hasenhuttl] will come in with his own ideas and we'll adapt to them.

"It's a chance for the club to move forward and to get back where it belongs."

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "The minimum we wanted tonight was a performance and that was much more like us.

"The important thing now is we have to keep delivering that level of performance because if we do we are still a force in the Premier League.

"The crowd were absolutely fantastic tonight and they are right with us. It all starts with tonight's performance now and that has to be close to the benchmark and we have to build on that."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: "Burnley had a specific plan, to be really aggressive in their challenges and stuff like that, so each ball they won, even if it was a throw-in for us, helped them and obviously didn’t help us mood-wise.

"So I was really happy we could just adjust a few tactical things [at half-time], but I told the players I shouted a lot in the first half but I wasn’t angry.

"I knew it could be a bit rusty, that’s how it is with a lot of changes, but now we are warm, used to it and we adjust a little bit.

"Reacting like we reacted at a tough place like Turf Moor and Burnley, that’s special. It’s really good."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed Joe Gomez suffered an ankle injury.

He left on a stretcher midway through the first half and will have tests.

“Joe is injured and probably not only a little bit," said Klopp. "We have to see, we don’t know in the moment. We sent him home.”

Arsenal

Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi speaking to BT Sport: "I think we did well.

"We tried everything to take the three points home, but we have to be a little more clever and sensitive to danger to avoid the second one.

"But we have taken four points from two difficult games after Tottenham at the weekend.

"We gave 120% in the derby, but we are not here to give excuses. With a bit of luck we could take three points, but it is always important not to lose."

Arsenal boss Unai Emery was asked about injuries from tonight's game...

"The worst news is the Rob Holding injury, the doctors think maybe it is a big injury but we are going to wait (to find out), it is his knee.

"Ramsey I think is a small injury but they showed us that afterwards every player responded with a good quality."

Arsenal

Arsenal manager Unai Emery: "I think we controlled the game, the second half better than the first. We could have won this match in certain moments, but they equalised very quickly after both our goals.

"We need to improve defensively, but we need to have balance and not lose our attacking chances.

"We perhaps lost a bit of control there but we created lots of chances after 2-2 and I am very proud of our performance. We wanted to win but we can feel this point is good.

"Sead Kolasinac came off with his head down but I said to him he had a very good match in attack and you have to be positive and learn from this match."

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was asked how he could fix that panic.

"I cannot answer that. I am Manchester United manager and I cannot answer that.

"We always have the first chance of the match. But how many times do we score and build from that? It is very, very rare. But I am happy with the boys.

"The spirit was Manchester United level but we miss certain qualities.

"I have to disagree with people who try to compare this to teams of Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Nemanja Vidic, give us a break and time. I am happy with the soul and heart, but we are not consistent and uniform.

"When we are in control was the moment that we scored the second goal for Arsenal."

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport: "We scored four goals and drew 2-2! As always we made mistakes and we paid for the mistakes.

"Today was more the same, but with great spirit and people ready to have a go and fight hard, it was a credit to the team.

"They went to the limit and were really tired. Some of them had not played all season, Chris Smalling playing in very difficult condition, but Arsenal were only dangerous when we lost the ball in bad areas.

"This is a performance of big soul and heart, Rashford, just to give a name, gave everything for the shirt. But even from our bench you could feel the little panic when the ball comes to our defensive third."

Everton

Everton manager Marco Silva said: "It was a difficult match like we expected.

"We had a better first half and we created better chances, but we showed a lack of focus in the goal we conceded. We reacted well and had clear chances which could have changed the match.

"We knew what they came here to do which was to wait for our mistake. I think the stats suggest we controlled the match. To break their organisation you have to play faster and we didn't do that in the second half. We take it game by game and our mentality is to win and do what we can."

Newcastle United

Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka said: "We knew it would be difficult for us. Every dual was difficult but we deserved the draw.

"I am happy I saved the Cenk Tosun chance because it was very close to me. Every point away is important for us, but we would also like to win at home for the fans. They were amazing again tonight."

Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez said: "I think the work they produced against a very good team was fantastic.

"We suffered after taking the lead but we were better in the second half and both teams had chances to score. The players are doing what they have to do but we would be a little bit stronger with a bit more accuracy in our counter-attacks.

"The main thing was to defend well and create chances and that is what we did.

"We have to be realistic, they are a good team and they had chances in the first half, and they have four games unbeaten at home, so we have to credit our players."

Fulham goalscorer Aboubakar Kamara speaking to Sky Sports: "I’m happy because I scored my first goal in the Premier League but I’m also disappointed because we drew.

"We have to keep going like this for the next game. My goal isn’t the best but for me it is fantastic. It’s good for me, my family and everyone that follows me. It was very important.

"We had to take the point and we have to keep playing like this more and more."

Leicester midfielder James Maddison: "Games have swings. There were times where I thought we dominated.

"Kelechi [Iheancho] had a chance he probably should have scored and we had chances from set-pieces before we ended up hanging on at the end.

"Fulham have played some really good stuff in the last few games especially with the boost of a new manager.

"It was a good Premier League game today. I think the neutrals would have enjoyed that one."

Leicester manager Claude Puel speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think it was a normal draw.

"Any team could have won or lost this game. We had good chances, particularly in the first half.

"We played a good team, who did well against Chelsea and Southampton. We were up and down in the game and we needed to manage it more.

"I would like to congratulate my players for coming back, which is a good thing for our mentality. We believed in ourselves and that’s a good sign for the future."

On Kelechi Iheancho: "After his first chance he lacked a little confidence to move and create other situations.

"I’m happy about our mentality to fight and try to win but today we had a lot of difficulties."

On Jamie Vardy being back for the weekend: "I don’t know, we will see. We will adapt in the few days before the game."

Liverpool's James Milner: The character we showed after going behind, to come back in that fashion is what we expect from this team.

"It was really tough but we showed the character of this team and these are performances you need."

Burnley keeper Joe Hart: "We can't afford to just play well. We need points."
