Arsenal are livid that they weren't allowed to play advantage here. To be fair, Marcos Rojo is lucky to not see more than yellow for a horror on Matteo Guendouzi.

Danny Rose does well to slide in on Cedric Soares and win Spurs a corner. Kieran Trippier takes it, Steven Davies heads away.

It looks like knee ligament damage and the medical team were possibly doing ligament tests on the side of the field. He stood up and was in a lot of pain. It is a shame because he has been playing well.

Eric Dier plays a long ball straight out of play that Son Heung-min had no chance of reaching. This game is not quite at the level of Man Utd v Arsenal for drama.

Herrera is just leaning offside as the ball is played. VAR would have ruled that goal out as his head and torso was offside.

Rob Holding has been forced off. It looks like a challenge from Marcus Rashford has left him with a dead leg. Stephan Lichtsteiner is coming on. A much more open game now.

David de Gea has been such a formidable presence in the Manchester United goal that it is difficult to be too critical of him, despite his obvious error.

I remember another bad blunder here in a League Cup semi-final against Sunderland that cost David Moyes a place at Wembley.

The Spain keeper will be relieved United responded so quickly.

Its a free-kick from Rojo. He clips it over the wall, the keeper saves it but you have got to push it out of the danger zone. I think Herrera was offside from the initial free-kick, he cuts the ball back across for Martial to tap in.

Spurs had a chance to double their lead but Alex McCarthy tipped Son Heung-min's shot over the bar.

It was a hell of a strike by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The initial strike went over the shoulder of Toby Alderweireld and curled towards goal.

Hugo Lloris actually finger-tipped it onto the left post and Stuart Armstrong was offside from the rebound. Bit of a let-off there for Tottenham.

David De Gea! We had Jordan Pickford at the weekend and now this - he gets two hands on it, Mustafi heads it into the ground on the six yard line and he gets two hands on it and let's it go through. It's clearly over the line.

Flag up! Liverpool escape thanks to the assistant referee. Or, more to the point, they escape because Ashley Barnes couldn't stay onside. It was a lovely volley from a Robbie Brady free-kick, but the right call to chalk it off.
