  2. goal

GOAL - Leicester City 0-2 Tottenhampublished at 57 mins

    Dele Alli

Diving header. Tottenham have an attack and have three forwards against two Leicester defenders.

Lucas Moura plays it left to Son Heung-min and the chance looks to have gone, but Son takes his time and flights a ball to the back post and Dele Alli flings himself at it to head past Kasper Schmeichel.

Seeing the replay, Leicester may well think Alli was slightly offside. Not given and Spurs have a two-goal advantage.

    Leicester City 0-1 Tottenham

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Claude Puel had to make something happen now so he's making attacking changes.

But they have to be wary of this Spurs side because on the counter they are so, so strong.

Underrated was my man Park Ji Sung at Man Utd - did Kante's role before it became fashionable.

    Leicester City 0-1 Tottenham

Leicester should have had a corner, before Hugo Lloris can gather the ball. But the visitors get away with that.

  7. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Leicester City 0-1 Tottenham

Demarai Gray, in the same area of pitch where Son Heung-min scored, gets free, cuts inside on to his left foot, but his strike is nowhere near as clean as Son's and Hugo Lloris can gleefully dive on to the effort.

    Leicester City 0-1 Tottenham

Not often does Hugo Lloris get his distribution wrong. He can only clear it to Ben Chilwell and the left-back storms forward but shoots wide, while off balance. The French keeper got away with that one.

Nice to have a top quality unrated player. Takes some pressure away from the others. Win as a team!

When you've scored a great strike from outside the box you are within your rights to have another crack. Not this time for Son though, well wide.

  11. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Leicester City 0-1 Tottenham

Son is involved in another Spurs attack early in the second half. He sprays it wide for Ben Davies and his cross from the left is only partial cleared by Jonny Evans, but Lucas Moura's header forward does not find Dele Alli.

Get Involved - Son under-rated?published at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

VB: If you ask Spurs fans, no, ask anyone else, yes. Nobody talks about Son like they talk about other pacey wingers who can finish.

J: Son is underappreciated, not talked about enough, but not under-rated, everyone knows his quality. Under-rated would be someone like Joshua King, or Kasper Schmeichel, both are much better than everyone gives them credit for.

Not a Spurs fan, but to be six points off the top on that budget is astonishing.

    Disho

Harry Winks has got to be the best English CM, bossing the midfield!

Surely Harry Winks would go on the under-rated list.

Under-rated players in the Premier League

Roy Fairbairn‏: I can assure you Son is not under-rated down at the Lane we know exactly how good he is!

Michael Scarn‏: Son is definitely more underrated than players like Kanté and Fernandinho, who we're constantly told are underrated despite always being lauded as great players.

Sureditch: As long as other teams keep under-rating him. Spurs fans will be happy.

CeenoSenior: Take a bow, Son. And isn't that supposed to be your weaker foot?

Henry H: Son has a left foot like a traction engine.

Just before that Son goal, we had seen a brilliant piece of defending from Wes Morgan, who produced a perfectly-timed challenge to deny Dele Alli.

Two minutes later, Morgan's side were behind anyway. Tough on the Foxes skipper. By the way, that Son goal came just seconds before half-time.

So far, Mauricio Pochettino's gamble to rest Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen is looking a shrewd one.
