Javi Gracia will be delighted his side could hold on for three points there but my word was it nerve-wracking in those final few minutes.

That's Watford's first win since October.

    Everybody breathe.

A much better second half for Cardiff but the damage was done early on.

Cardiff are really pushing for that equaliser but Watford are able to hold them off at the moment.

It's getting a bit feisty out there as the pressure ramps up with just two minutes to go.

Cardiff fans, you have SO much to thank Neil Etheridge for today.

Despite the score, he has produced some unbelievable saves and he's just been forced into another, tipping a Doucoure effort over the bar. That could have been game over.

    Bobby Reid

    Oh my word. Comeback on?

There is a scramble in the box and the ball finds Bobby Reid who slots it home. Watford are furious with themselves.

Nine minutes to find an equaliser...

    Junior Hoilett

    Cardiff have a goal.

Probably a mere consolation at this point but Junior Hoilett will be pleased with that one. Out on the left, he brings it onto his right foot and curls it past Ben Foster from outside the box.

We haven't seen an even remotely average goal here today.

    Cardiff make a change too.

Bobby Reid comes on, replacing Aron Gunnarsson.

As Neil Etheridge receives treatment after being hit in a painful place by a Watford boot, Isaac Success comes on in place of Ken Sema.

BBC Sport football expert on Final Score

You have to go back a long time to see the type of football Watford are playing at Vicarage Road today.

They have played some lovely football and the goals have been exquisite. I cannot work out what Cardiff could have done to stop any of them.

    Watford 3-0 Cardiff

As I typed that, Cardiff did have a chance to pull a goal back but Junior Hoilett's header drifted high over the bar.

    Watford 3-0 Cardiff

Etheridge with a brilliant save AGAIN. And it's from Pereyra AGAIN.

The ball bounces around and it heads towards goal off Pereyra's shin and Etheridge has to react quickly.

I dread to think what the score would have been here if Etheridge wasn't between the Cardiff sticks.

A very special moment for Quina and he looks absolutely over the moon.

This is surely game over for Cardiff now. They look utterly deflated.

    Domingos Quina

It's three for Watford and this time Domingos Quina is the man getting his name on the scoresheet.

That's his first Premier League goal in what is only his second Premier League start.

He picks his spot from outside the box after a lay off from Ken Sema and Etheridge has no chance.

    Watford 2-0 Cardiff

Watford goalscorer Jose Holebas is down holding his left leg, and Domingos Quina is also limping after a poor challenge from Mendez-Laing.

Holebas chased after the loose ball following that challenge but pulls up in pain.
