The official stats say there was not a shot on target in that first half.

I think that's being a bit harsh to Steve Mounie as his hooked effort had to be nudged over the top by Cardiff keeper Neil Etheridge.

Other than that, the closest we've come to a goal was Jason Puncheon's eighth-minute effort for Huddersfield which just went wide.

Close, so close to being tapped in. Junior Hoilett's corner is a fantastic one from the left and Cardiff think they should have had a penalty as Steve Mounie had a hold of Sean Morrison's shirt as the ball bounced through the six-yard box and away.

Lee Mason is not interested. Mounie may have got away with one there.

A deep free-kick from Cardiff finds Sean Morrison, who heads it towards the back post and in a scramble Jonas Lossl saves it on the line. But the flag had gone up to calm everyone's excitement.

It's ugly, and this time it's not effective. Cardiff's Aron Gunnarsson dries the football and launches a long throw into the box. It's been that kind of game.

But Jonas Lossl is off his line and catches the throw.

Lots of pushing and shoving, quite a few fouls, not much actual football to enjoy, only one shot on goal.

Harry Arter of Cardiff is shown yellow after a late sliding challenge on Steve Mounie. Referee Lee Mason lets play go on, but he is a man that doesn't forget and Arter gets a card when play next stops.

Our first shot on target in the game comes in the 30th minute. Huddersfield's Steve Mounie hooks an attempt at goal over his shoulder and it is looping just under the bar, that is until Neil Etheridge pushes it over the top.

To be honest, there didn't look much in either case that Dafydd mentioned.

Cardiff's fans are furious with referee Lee Mason at the moment.

They feel they should have had two penalties by now, one for handball from Erik Durm and another when Florent Hadergjonaj brought down Junior Hoilett as the Cardiff winger bore down on goal.
