  1. Good nightpublished at 23:00 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

I'll sign off now. It's been a long day but a successful day for Celtic and Rangers as they both made sure of their places in tomorrow's Europa League group stage draw.

There will be live coverage of the ceremony from Monaco on the BBC Sport website.

It's due to start at noon but you know how these things drag on, so it could be a while before we know who's playing who.

Still, you can't beat a good Euro draw for a spot of afternoon drama.

Should Celtic be developing players for other clubs? They have the finances to go out and buy players, develop them and then sell them on

  8. Rangers battle through from first roundpublished at 22:34 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

It's been a successful day for the Glasgow giants, with Rangers and Celtic both reaching the Europa League group stage and guaranteeing a host of exciting Thursdays over the coming months.

Of the 94 teams who entered first-round qualifying during the week of the World Cup semi-finals, only four are still standing - Rangers, Sarpsborg of Norway, Apollon Limassol and Copenhagen.

  9. Who's on the way out at Celtic?published at 22:29 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Suduva (4-1)

Who would the departing Celtic players be?

Scott Allan is an obvious one since he hasn't been near the match day squad. Will Hibs go back in for the crafty midfielder?

If Youssouf Mulumbu comes in, then Eboue Kouassi falls further behind in the pecking order.

And what of the lesser-spotted Marvin Compper?

  10. 'Celtic hope to do more business'published at 22:24 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Suduva (4-1)

You want more from Brendan Rodgers? Oh, all right then.

Here's the juicy stuff on potential transfers...

"We would hope we can do more business and there will be a few going out," says the Celtic boss.

Filip Benkovic and Youssouf Mulumbu were in the crowd this evening and it looks like they will be joining the Scottish champions before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

Leicester City paid £13m for central defender Benkovic in the summer, so that looks like a loan, while experienced midfielder Mulumbu is a free agent after leaving Kilmarnock at the end of last season.

On Benkovic, Rodgers says: "He's a highly rated centre-half; good in both boxes."

  11. Dembele & Edouard for Sunday?published at 22:19 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Suduva (4-1)

We may have mentioned that Celtic and Rangers meet on Sunday.

Asked if Moussa Dembele would be in the squad, Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland: "I don't know. I'll need to assess that over the next day or two. There's a lot that can happen."

Earlier, the manager revealed that a "significant bid" for the striker had been turned down and the 22-year-old was left out tonight.

Rodgers added that Odsonne Edouard will be in contention at the weekend after missing five games with a hamstring problem.

"He's got a good chance," he said. "We didn't want to risk him tonight."

  12. 'A competition of great prestige'published at 22:14 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Suduva (4-1)

More from Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers:

"We had the opportunity to get to Champions League but we didn't take it. This is a competition of great prestige with historical clubs like Arsenal, AC Milan and Lazio. It's a great reward and I'm very much looking forward to the games.

"It's maybe not the glamour competition but we need the support and it was great to see nearly every seat full tonight."

  13. 'Boyata makes a difference'published at 22:09 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Suduva (4-1)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is full of praise for Dedryck Boyata after a comfortable victory.

"We did the basics well. We were better defensively in the second half and the speed of our game improved. You see the difference Dedryck Boyata makes coming back in. Playing at the World Cup has given him huge confidence. He brings balance and composure."

  14. Some tasty ties aheadpublished at 22:00 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

There are still a few play-off games going on but we do know AC Milan, Marseille and Fenerbahce will be in pot two beside Celtic and there are a few dangerous sides lurking in pot three for tomorrow's draw, including RB Leipzig, Spartak Moscow and Bordeaux.

A few 'groups of death' are in the offing...

  15. On to Friday's draw...published at 21:55 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

So, Celtic join Rangers in tomorrow's Europa League group stage draw at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, with the ceremony scheduled to start at noon.

There is no chance of the Glasgow duo being in the same section as clubs from the same country can't be drawn together until the knockout stages.

Celtic will be in pot two, with Rangers in pot four.

The top seeds include Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen, Lazio, Anderlecht, RB Salzburg and Villarreal, with competition specialists Sevilla set to join them.

Here are the dates for the group games.

    • Matchday 1: 20 September
    • Matchday 2: 4 October
    • Matchday 3: 25 October
    • Matchday 4: 8 November
    • Matchday 5: 29 November
    • Matchday 6: 13 December

  16. 'Impressive in spells'published at 21:52 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Celtic 3-0 Suduva (4-1)

    Chris McLaughlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

Job done for Celtic and European football is now guaranteed until Christmas. They were very impressive in spells tonight but Brendan Rodgers will know his side will have to find some of the form and consistency of the last couple of years if they’re to make an impact on the European stage.

That can wait for now - next up: Rangers on Sunday.
