Allan McGregor may have got the foul after making that incredible save but he's the one going into Willie Collum's wee black book for something he said to the referee.

What a save that was. I thought Ntcham was going to curl it but he goes across the goalkeeeper and McGregor gets a wonderful hand to it.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 48 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rangers

It's another great piece of goalkeeping from Allan McGregor as he sprawls low to get a hand to a awkward, dipping shot from Olivier Ntcham and diverts the ball up against the crossbar.

The goalie is up quickly trying to gather the rebound and is fouled as Celtic try frantically to get the ball over the line.

Can Celtic pick up where they left off, keep the tempo and the quick passing, or will they be a bit edgy and let Rangers back into it?

I can't seeing Rangers coming back out without making a change. I think it'll be Alfredo Morelos off, he's not a lone striker, Kyle Lafferty has played there before. There's potential for Andy Halliday, Ross McCrorie or even Daniel Candeias.

Rangers are defending well and defending as a team - that's the tactics that have been set out by Steven Gerrard. It's pretty straightforward, it's getting bodies behind the ball and leaving Morelos up front. Morelos is doing nothing to be perfectly honest. He's not an outlet in any shape or form.

The Scottish FA's new compliance officer, Clare Whyte, started work last week and there's every chance the first item on her desk on Monday morning will be this. Did Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor kick out at Kristoffer Ajer?

Should it have been a red card? A penalty?

BBC Sportsound pundit Willie Miller thinks Ajer had a dig at McGregor first.

  13. 'Rangers know how to defend now'published at 12:50 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

    HT: Celtic 0-0 Rangers

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

In terms of possession and dominance of the ball this game is up there with anything we saw last season when Celtic pulverised Rangers 4-0 and 5-0. The big difference is that Rangers know how to defend now. They’ve had big moments from Katic, Goldson and McGregor in keeping Celtic out. They’ve also had luck.

Two attempts off the crossbar shows that Rangers are hanging on. Rangers have shown in Europe this season that they can soak up this kind of heat and survive. They’ll need to show that same resilience now. If they get a point from this game, given their exertions in Russia and the bombardment of their goal in the first 45 minutes there, then they will be euphoric.

  14. HALF-TIME Celtic 0-0 Rangerspublished at 45+1 mins

It's been a very one-sided first half, with Celtic doing all of the pressing, but it's goalless at the break.

Twice the hosts have hit the crossbar and Odsonne Edouard should have done much better with a close-range header.

  15. Postpublished at 45+1 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rangers

The first half comes to a close with Celtic skipper Scott Brown lashing a rising shot over the top from 20 yards.

As much as Rangers haven't been in the game, this isn't an amateurish performance, not like it's been in recent games. But they are riding their luck.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 39 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rangers

He's got to score... Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor combine well on the left, with the latter scooping a great cross on to the head of Odsonne Edouard. The Celtic striker is all alone six yards out but can't steer the ball past Allan McGregor, who does very well to bat it away.

  20. 'Celtic yet to make dominance count'published at 12:39 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

Celtic are dominating the game and it really will take a good defensive performance from Rangers to keep them out. They're getting the ball into the wide areas and into good positions but haven't made it count yet.
