Not with English teams. Has happened with Spanish teams plenty of times recently - the Uefa Super Cup this season was a Madrid derby.

What a terrific game of football. The atmosphere has been brilliant from the first minute.
Valencia got that early goal and it looked like it would be a test of Arsenal's bottle but they responded well.

"Valencia have recovered from such a deficit to progress. Five years ago, they lost their quarter-final first leg 3-0 at Basel. Back at the Mestalla, Valencia scored two first-half goals and a third with 20 minutes remaining to take the tie into extra time. It remained 3-3 on aggregate until the last six minutes of extra time when Valencia scored twice to make it 5-0 on the night."
