Serge: Lallana having zero impact on this game. Time for some Shaq, me thinks.

B Couture: This game needs a certain Shaq and Robertson in 2nd half.. Liverpool could easily score more.

Paul Walmsley: Liverpool-Cardiff starting to feel like a training match. There isn't even much of an atmosphere

David Melton: Liverpool lead 1-0. If they can get another 11 they might remain top after City play

Am I crazy to think we are complete and utter toast unless we win today? Rafa may have taken us far enough and could easily see a Pulis or Moyes figure coming in now and making do with what they've got rather than blaming Ashley.

  7. Postpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Southampton 0-0 Newcastle

Danny Ings tries to weave his way through the defence but his way is blocked. The ball does bounce back onto his shin though, and it deflects a little nervously over the bar.

Over at Anfield, Roberto Firmino is wriggling from side-to-side on the edge of the box and makes space for himself to shoot on his right foot.

Again, his effort flies over the bar and doesn't test the keeper.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

How has that stayed out?! Shane Duffy leaps brilliantly to meet a corner but then, after winning the header about three yards out, he slams it against the outside of the post when it really did look all but imposible to miss.

    Brighton's best moment.

    Southampton 0-0 Newcastle

Hold up, WE HAVE ACTION AT ST MARY'S!!!

Ryan Bertrand delivers a low ball into the box for Mario Lemina to run onto. He's completely unmarked but his shot hits the outside of the post!

Getting closer to that elusive goal...

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:40 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Fulham 0-1 Bournemouth

Plenty of huff and puff from Fulham - Denis Odoi is close to a leveller but he heads wide from a corner.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:39 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Watford 2-0 Huddersfield

Ben Foster won't be too welcome up in Huddersfield any time soon - that's the third excellent save he's made already! It prevented a third very good goal in this game - a one-handed stop to keep out a piledriver from Phil Billing.

The big man was at least 30 yards out there and it was screaming into the top corner...

  12. Postpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Cardiff

Callum Paterson does really well to hold off challenges from Fabinho and Alberto Moreno and wins a free-kick for Cardiff.

It's not taken advantage of though as it bounces over Sean Morrison. Looked to take a nick off Dejan Lovren but the referee awards a goal kick.

Graham: You know it’s a truly awful match when the only thing Southampton fans have to cheer is being awarded a throw in.

  14. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Southampton 0-0 Newcastle

Southampton are certainly using the width. They're just not able to get many balls into the box to cause any problems.

Apart from that bright spell in the opening few minutes, they have not done much to trouble Newcastle.

They're back on the ball now though and have just under 10 minutes to break the deadlock before half time.

    Fulham 0-1 Bournemouth

No way back for Fulham at the moment. They've had just two attempts on goal to Bournemouth's seven.

The Cherries are sixth as it stands.

  16. 'Brghton playing like away team'published at 15:35 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on Final Score

Brighton are almost playing like the away team but they seem happy about that.

They want to catch Wolves on the break and they're willing to do that.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:35 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

Matt Doherty! So close. He plays a brilliant one-two with Raul Jimenez, who backheels the ball into the wing-back's path, he cuts on to his left foot and shoots wide.

Very, very close that. Wolves well on top and the home crowd starting to moan and groan.

  18. Postpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Southampton 0-0 Newcastle

Still no real action happening in Southampton. This game threatened to be a dead rubber and so far it has been.

Come on lads, you're fighting at the bottom here!

  19. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 27 October 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Cardiff

The commentator has just said "Salah, with a cushioned header" and I almost expected Steven Gerrard to run onto it.

Instead, it was Roberto Firmino but his shot was blocked.

David Ljunggren: Southampton and Newcastle, two terrible teams, are putting on just the kind of pitiful performance we'd all expected

Dave W: Love those who always knock AFCB for getting penalties awarded. Maybe that is because we attack at such pace? Can't think of one decision that shouldn't have been given either??
