But his header is badly timed and it flies way over the bar under little pressure. That was a chance!

Out of the nine international matches currently in action, only one game has seen a goal. Brazil have taken the lead over Saudi Arabia in their friendly thanks to Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus.

It's a bit like a game of heads and volleys in midfield at the moment. Neither team can keep the ball on the ground!

Paddy McNair sends a few crosses into the box but Josh Magennis doesn't get a sniff as Austria's centre-back duo Sebastian Prodl and Martin Hinteregger stand their ground.

I really like Northern Ireland's away kit. Very smart.

Paddy McNair lifts it into the area but Austria get it clear.

The hosts are dominating but they are yet to create any real chances. Northern Ireland organised in defence but they are starting to drop deeper into their own half.

Dangerous signs for Northern Ireland. Marcel Sabitzer plays a lovely ball over the top for Guido Burgstaller but the Austrian forward is just offside.

Jonny Evans has just made a clearance especially for the cameras. He dives and slides along the ground to head the ball away and concede a corner.

The first set-piece is deflected over the bar and the second runs long before Marko Arnautovic slips and gives away possession.

Austria switch it out to the right with a long diagonal ball over the top to Valentino Lazaro. His first touch beats Jamal Lewis for pace but the cut-back is well cleared by Jonny Evans.

The hosts were hesitant to push players forward then. Are they wary of Northern Ireland's pace down the wings on the counter?

This Northern Ireland squad is entering another phase of transition. We are almost starting all over again after the previous squad Michael O'Neill built.

Only 21,000 tickets were sold for this game when they were counted up last night. The Emst-Happel-Stadion holds up to 48,000 spectators.

Shane Ferguson does well to track back, get a foot in and win a free-kick for Northern Ireland in their own half.

Timid start so far.

Peter Zulj plays a lofty ball over the top for Marko Arnautovic to chase but it's slightly overcooked and Paddy McNair uses his strength to shield the ball.

This is left-back Andreas Ulmer's first international cap in nine years for Austria! True veteran.

He has a tough night ahead up against Stuart Dallas and Paddy McNair.
