This is frenetic stuff so far and Sheffield United are playing at a great tempo. Wave after wave they come forward and at times, it's like pinball in that Wednesday area.

What a save from Cameron Dawson!

Wednesday fans jubilant behind that goal as their keeper makes a fantastic stop to deny Sheffield United taking the lead.

Wasn't the worst taken penalty to be fair to David McGoldrick low down to the right but Dawson was there at full stretch to palm it past the post!

No escaping punishment this time for Wednesday.

First real chance of note falls to John Fleck for Sheffield United and he rifles a strike left-footed from 30 yards out.

Great save reaching across to his left from Cameron Dawson as he palms it behind.

Jack O'Connell can't quite direct his back post header on target and behind it goes for a goal kick.

Loud old start to this one in the stands and Sheffield United are trying to match that tempo on the pitch coming forward.

Wednesday could well be in for a bit of an aerial threat at the back this evening on the early evidence.

Sheffield comes together though before the action commences to mark the centenary of Armistice Day this weekend with the laying or wreaths by local representatives of the armed forces and the playing of The Last Post.

Both captains also lay wreaths on behalf of their clubs at the opposite ends of the ground.
