Jos Luhukay is a man in need of a win - and what a big test he has ahead of himself tonight across the city at Bramall Lane.

Chris Wilder is pretty much Sheffield United through and through it's fair to say.

What's more he's not exactly a fan of calling the derby the Steel City Derby - he's very much in the old-fashioned Sheffield Derby camp.

Chris Wilder makes three changes to his Sheffield United side from the team which started the 1-0 defeat by Nottingham Forest last Saturday.

Chris Basham replaces Martin Cranie, Mark Duffy slots into midfield in place of Paul Coutts and David McGoldrick returns up top ahead of Leon Clarke, who features among the substitutes.

Jos Luhukay goes one further with his Sheffield Wednesday line-up, making four changes from the pounding home defeat by Norwich City.

Steven Fletcher looks like he'll lead the line on his own up front while Michael Hector, Jordan Thorniley, Morgan Fox and Ashley Baker all return in place of Daniel Pudil, Liam Palmer, Atdhe Nuhiu and Josh Onomah.

Sheffield United: Henderson; Basham, Egan, O'Connell, Freeman, Stevens, Duffy, Norwood, Fleck, McGoldrick, Sharp.

Subs: Moore, Stearman, Coutts, Baldock, Johnson, Clarke, Washington.

Sheffield Wednesday: Dawson; Baker, Thorniley, Fox, Hector, Lees, Penney, Reach, Pelupessy, Bannan, Fletcher.

Subs: Wildsmith, Pudil, Palmer, Onomah, Joao, Matia, Nuhiu.

The bass line of Queen's Under Pressure once more comes to mind when you take a look at Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay's precarious position.

The Owls come into tonight's derby having lost their past four league matches, including a 4-0 humbling at home against Norwich City last Saturday.

Speculation that Luhukay may be on the verge of the sack has emerged in the past week and the Dutchman could come full circle this evening, having first taken charge of Wednesday in January's goalless draw against the Blades at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United, meanwhile, sit a point off the top of the table, but relinquished their hold on the summit last Saturday when Nottingham Forest inflicted a second away defeat in succession on Chris Wilder's side.

Victory tonight for the Blades would put that disappointment to bed and take them back top.

    One City. Two teams.

Just a mere 3.7 miles between the two respective home grounds but a massive amount of combined history.

Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday prepare to meet competitively for the 130th time this evening with more than just the three Championship points at stake.

Recent fortunes have been more favourable for the Blades than they have for the Owls. But as the old footballing cliche goes, prepare for the form book to go out the window.
