We're unlikely to see a Michael Obafemi debut for the Republic today. That's five of the six subs on, including three forwards, without the Southampton teenager called upon.

Sean Maguire does have to come off with an injury and Scott Hogan - who has not started a game for Aston Villa all season - is on.

As is the case with international friendlies, a host of substitutions have taken the sting out of the game somewhat.

The Republic had been growing into the game more but should have been behind after Darragh Lenihan's terrible mistake let sub Jordan Jones in but his effort was well saved by Darren Randolph.
