No goals to show for it, but it's been Northern Ireland's half in Dublin.
Stuart Dallas has been the star of the show so far and has been getting in behind the home defence throughout the half.
The Leeds United winger set up the best chance of the opening 45 minutes, squaring cleverly to Gavin Whyte but he saw his shot well saved by Darren Randolph. He also went close himself twice as the visitors got on the front and took the game to their hosts.
Shane Duffy missed the best chance for the Republic, heading into the ground and making it easy for Bailey Peacock-Farrell to save.
It will be interesting to see what changes each manager makes from here, but there's no doubt which boss will be the happier so far.
Think we're following the wrong friendly here...

Quote MessageNorthern Ireland look comfortable on the ball and have definitely dominated in terms of possession. They have forced the Republic to give the ball away cheaply a lot, putting them under pressure in their own half. In terms of chances, the two opportunities the Republic have had with headers probably match the two chances Northern Ireland have had.
Austria and Bosnia are goalless at half-time in the Nations League - Northern Ireland will be relegated unless Bosnia win that one.
The Republic of Ireland could be relegated tomorrow when Wales play Denmark.

Quote MessageWith some Northern Ireland players nearing the end of their international careers fans were starting to wonder where the next generation was coming from. George Saville, Jamal Lewis and Gavin Whyte are coming onto the scene and starting to establish themselves.

Glenn Whelan's farewell lasts only 35 minutes. He comes off to a standing ovation as Aston Villa team-mate Conor Hourihane takes his place.
I wonder whether Wayne Rooney will get longer for England today.
