They didn't play too badly in that first half, before they were undone by two quickfire goals.

Dean Smith will surely be telling his Villa side to keep their heads.

In the form he’s been in, leaving Lukas Jutkiewicz alone at the far post was a basic error and he stuck the chance away to put the Blues, sorry Yellows, fans in dreamland.

But the dream didn’t last long. And now the Blues defence have given the same freedom to Jonathan Kodjia and Jack Grealish.

The City fans had earlier been chanting “Is this a Library?” at the subdued derby atmosphere. Well, it’s noisy enough now!

What a first half that was!

Lukas Jutkiewicz swept Birmingham in front, before two goals in two minutes from Jonathan Kodjia and Jack Grealish turned the match on its head.
