Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock on his failed attempts to sign a new striker in the wake of Emiliano Sala's disappearance: "They didn't want to come after what's happened, so it has been a very difficult transfer window.

"We're in the Premier League, it's not all about money, it's all about trying to move mountains with a group of lads.

"We keep bouncing back after knocks. Whether it's good enough, who knows? It won't be for the lack of trying."

Cardiff might have been beaten at Arsenal but they played really well and everyone at the club deserves a huge amount of credit for the way they have dealt with the aftermath of Emiliano Sala's disappearance.

This, their first home game since Sala's plane went missing, is going to be another emotional occasion and it is going to be hard for them to deal with everything all over again.

How they cope with it is going down to come down to each individual and it is hard to know how players will react.

    Prediction: 0-2

Cardiff's return to the Premier League should have been a season-long celebration for the club's fans, but this will be the second time this campaign the Bluebirds have faced a home game with factors far outweighing the importance of football hanging over the match.

In October, Leicester's first fixture after their billionaire owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was killed in a helicopter crash was away against the Welsh side.

Before today's kick-off, the stadium will observe a moment of silent reflection for Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson, whose plane went missing on 21 January.

One of the stands will display a tribute, while the captains of both sides will lay bouquets on the pitch.

Cardiff City's match shirts will be embroidered with daffodils and they will warm up in t-shirts paying tribute to Sala.

It will be an emotional day at the City of Cardiff Stadium as the Bluebirds play at home for the first time since the disappearance of Emiliano Sala.

The Argentine striker, who is Cardiff's record signing, has been missing since the plane he was travelling in vanished over Guernsey on 21 January.
