    FT: Aberdeen 3-2 v Livingston

Thanks for your company. We'll leave it there for tonight.

A far more exciting and goal-packed game than most of us were expecting to be honest, but a cracking game with plenty of goalmouth action, and a dramatic late winner.

Livingston have just two days to recover before they are back in Premiership action on Friday - at home to Hearts.

Our next live action is on Thursday, when Celtic and Rangers will both try to reach the knockout stages of the Europa League.

    See you then...

  2. Late winner 'no more than Dons deserved' - McInnespublished at 22:21 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    FT: Aberdeen 3-2 Livingston

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is understandably a happy man after his side's dramatic late winner.

He told BBC Scotland: "When you get a last minute winner it’s all always really pleasing. It epitomized our performance and was no more than we deserved. We were outstanding and I thought - even in the first half - we did so many things right, got into good areas, good intent.

"They got up the park twice – it’s a mistake on the first one, we don’t deal with the second one but, by and large I think even the crowd recognized that 2-1 down at half time was really harsh considering the chances created."

McInnes praised the impact of substitute Conor McLennan, who he brought on at half-time.

"Connor gave us real natural width, and had the discipline to hold his width. He produced some spectacular runs and crosses and shots.

"The fans were brilliant. They saw the spirit of the team. I'm disappointed that Stevie [May]’s not scored because then all of the front three would have scored. But he did everything but. It’s a brilliant performance from us. It’s fitting that we scored such a spectacular winner to get all three points".

A good second-half performance from Aberdeen. The first half was disappointing and to go in at half-time in that position, they needed a big performance. The change made all the difference. McLennan turned the game with his directness and general all-round play that caused Livingston to doubt themselves.

  5. Defeat a 'sore one' - Holtpublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    FT: Aberdeen 3-2 v Livingston

Livingston manager Gary Holt says defeat felt like a "kick in the teeth" after succumbing to Aberdeen's injury-time winner.

He told BBC Scotland: "I thought we battled hard but Aberdeen are a good side and put us under a lot of pressure. They got a lot of balls into our box and that is something we will have to look at - I am not happy with that.

"I can't fault the players for effort and desire and determination but there are areas where we have to be braver and defensively better to stop crosses coming in.

"After the early setback, we were doing things right to come in 2-1 up at half-time. But I don't we did that in the second half. Their tails were up and we just didn't hang on at the end.

"It is a sore one. No-one likes losing games like that but we have to learn from it and take it on the chin."

It's like Burnley all over again - an overhead kick from four yards. Aberdeen thoroughly deserved that. Aberdeen were brilliant in the second half. Derek's had a look at it and give the manager all the credit - he's brought on McLennan and he's won man of the match. It's been a really good game and Livingston have played their part but Aberdeen were the better side

That was Lewis Ferguson's fourth goal of the season - his second overhead kick, to add to a winner in the League Cup semi-final against Rangers and a Premiership winner at Kilmarnock.

The game needed that bit of quality, and it was something special from Lewis Ferguson. He is making a habit of scoring really important, and spectacular, goals

  10. FULL-TIME - Aberdeen 3-2 Livingstonpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

A precious - and you have to say, deserved - three points for the Dons, who move above Livingston into sixth place, a point behind St Johnstone in fifth.

    GOAL - Aberdeen 3-2 Livingston (Ferguson)published at 90+2 mins

    Yes there is!

Niall McGinn whips in a corner, Livi keeper Liam Kelly gets an unconvincing punch on it and Lewis Ferguson, facing away from goal, plants an overhead kick behind him into the roof of the net.

    Brilliant finish.

Stevie May, no goals in 14 games now, gets a sympathetic round of applause from the crowd as he is taken off, with Bruce Anderson sent on for the final few minutes.

Couple more half-chances for Aberdeen. First Stevie May flicks a header wide from Connor McLennan's cross, then Lewis Ferguson side-foots a volley well off target after Max Lowe manages to get a ball in from the left byline.

Relentless pressure from the hosts, but can they find a winner?

Since half-time Livingston haven't coped with Aberdeen's movement and link play. McLennan's been really lively. Stevie May's had a decent game, getting himself into good positions. He needs to find the back of the net to lift his confidence but there's no issues with his work-rate and his attitude
